My wife to be and I visited Tusculum during our holidays in KV which is one of her favourite places in Czech. Hearing about most produce being used in this restaurant are from their own farms, we really curious what would the experience be like. Service and the product knowledge was fantastic, so after short chat we ordered tasting menu paired with wines. And it was great decision!! Food was incredible, the ideas and transformation of some old czech dishes was fantastic! Milan who looked after us told us a lot about the food and why they choose certain wines. Minuty rose with Duck breast and potato ravioli filled with sauerkraut was phenomenal dish and great wine pairing, although unsual, was my fiancées favourite dish! Braised beef with mushroom purée was winner for me. If you around KV, make sure you stop by, friendly and welcoming staff will ensure you have great time eating some honest and excellent food with modern presentation. And prices are very reasonable.

I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Karlovy Vary.
We had the vegetarian tasting menu (+wine pairing), which was absolutely delicious. Especially the pairing of a rosé wine with pasta was a pleasant surprise. All in all, the food was an interesting mix of traditional Czech cuisine and fusion (there were some clear Japanese and Italian influences, for example). Honestly, I'd pay a lot of money for this kind of menu back home, and I'd gladly pay it. Big thumbs up.
(By the way, we brought our dog with us and, like eveywhere else in Karlovy Vary, we were all made to feel very welcome.)

Fantastic food with great service. I had a tasting menu and my husband ordered lamb chops. The food was delicious and our waiter attentive, he also recommended a very good wine (they offer wine pairings, but I skipped that). Can only recommend.

We visited here a couple of weeks ago and sat outside this lovely restaurant. It was run by two men who were efficient and informative. The menu was not large, but great quality and we tried the specials that were delicious. The restaurant is not expensive for the quality and the whole place had charm. There were lots of locals dining on the night we were there which is always a good sign. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Book ahead.

Visited for special birthday meal. We had the tasting menu with wine paring. We couldn’t fault the food or the service. We loved everything! They even made an impromptu cheese board for my husband who does not eat sweets.

This restaurant is located a bit out of the way and it was a bit of a struggle to walk here with our 83-year old mother.
The service is very friendly. Food was fancy and advantageous but very tasty.
We got a table on the terrace which was a bit chilly but the staff provided blankets which was very nice.
Price was not cheap but the quality was also very high.

We had the 4-course menu with matching wine... and wow, it was perfect. Prepared with great attention to detail, very, very tasty, little waiting time and the wines were very well matched to the dishes. In addition to the 4 courses, there was a greeting from the kitchen before and after. The service was great!

Very modern and refined cookery from an evidently talented and experienced chef. The restaurant is located in a quiet spot outside of the town center hustle and bustle. The service was friendly and very attentive. The food was gorgeously presented. For tourists looking for a traditional Czech restaurant, this is not it. This restaurant experiments in a bit of Asian / European fusion and mostly successfully. Really enjoyed our evening, definitely a place to visit again.

We reserved a table on the terrace for 2 people at 8 p.m.
When we arrived at 7:30 p.m. our table was free and there was another one for two people free but we were not received and we were sent away saying that our table was occupied.
When we returned at 8 p.m. we were seated at a table which was already free when we arrived at 7:30 p.m.
No excuses. It ruined our evening...
The dishes were very well prepared… the wine a little hot for our taste…
In any case the reception ruined the evening for us

We really liked the Tusculum, it was no problem to get a vegan option. The food was wonderfully served and tasted. Nice wine selection. Our waiter was very accommodating and friendly, we felt very well looked after and welcomed. We will definitely come back.

This charming eatery is a jewel in the crown of beautiful Karlovy Vary. Do not be deceived by the sparse, functional furnishings and decor.
The food is simply magnificent. The menu offers dishes for every palette. My partner enjoyed locally caught fish whilst I devoured a sumptuous, vegetarian offering. The food was lovingly prepared and beautifully presented.
I would be doing Tusculum a disservice by failing to mention the charming front of house staff. Fare was offered and delivered with both grace and good humour.
I cannot recommend this restaurant and it’s slightly unorthodox menu highly enough.

Excellent food and service. The waiters were really friendly and guided us when we asked for recommendations. We had fish, which was very tasty, accompanied by sauce and veggies exquisitely presented. The wine was also very good, and the dessert was also well presented and delicious. We had a great experience there, and we were served even though we arrived at an odd time.

We were impressed by this restaurant in every way, because the dishes were excellent (a menu is offered or individual dishes can be chosen), the young team was very friendly and attentive, and the price-performance ratio was good. In general, the food on offer

Maybe we chosed the wrong Restaurant! We didn't look at their menu beforehand, but it had really too few food choices!
I ordered salmon, but the meat was too dry. And there was a hair found in the side dish, I told the waiter when I was paying, but he didn't seem to hear and didn't even say sorry!

Perfect restaurant, fully in line with their slogan of Casual fine dining. Indeed very fine. We came two times with the family of four, tried many different dishes and all were exceptional. Much better than all other restaurants we experienced in KV.
