First night table for two, beer within 10 seconds world record ! So we each drank 3 and then 3 gin tonic. The beef tartare was decorated lovely with Safran and green leafs, the waiter and the blonde waitress perfect eye contact all time and ready to receive our orders (levanzen sweet dish, also the karp was splendid) . Later we got a bigger table to munch. A perfect night. Two days later, same location but a different world: no reservation ahead accepted, no eye contact, the girl totally ignored us, so only two beer and after a wrong cocktail we had enough and left. The beef tartare was served without any smart look but next to a huge mountain of salt , totally no taste and spirit one would expect in hotel madonna. One should give only 3 stars for that evening, but the friendly crew from first visit saved the rating.

We were very happy with this restaurant. We wanted an alternative to the Grand Hotel Pupp and decided to try this slightly out of the way place. It was a nice evening stroll down the river to a basement restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere. We ordered the chicken and pork schnitzel and ordered mixed vegetables and pureed potatoes. Everything was delicious and the waiter was pleasant and helpful. I ordered a juice that was listed and asked for the strawberry flavor which caused a moment of confusion, but after I remembered the word cerveny for red we worked it out and he quickly found it. It was delicious as well.

After visiting the Karlovy Vary over 15 times, we were visiting this restaurant first time.
This restaurant is a real gem! The food is fantastic, and very well presented. Also, the prices are very reasonable. The staff also was very nice. Place is very cute and well decorated.

Last time we ate here we thought the food was oversalted. This time, after two years, we decided to give this place a second chance and try something light, not too "heavy" for the night. So we ordered one soup, a rabbit stuffed with herbs, a glass of beer and tea. All this for two people. Total disappointment with the food. The tea and beer (Black Kozel) were delicious. Soup: was oversoured and oversalted, like last time; Rabbit: 1- the side dish (mashed potatoes) was paid for separately, it was COMPLETELY cold, 2- the rabbit itself was so dried out that you couldn't even cut it with a knife, plus it was also oversalted. The result - I have no idea how this restaurant with such cuisine has not turned into an ordinary pub. I do not recommend anything to anyone, let everyone decide for themselves. As for me, I will never come here again.

Total disappointment. Read the great reviews and decided to have lunch with friends at this restaurant.
But unfortunately, it's being renovated at the moment. We've been offered lunch at the Grand Madonna restaurant. If I understand correctly, they're connected.

There were four of us, but the waiter apparently only knows how to count to three.At first we were short of beer (by the way, declared on the menu of cut beer is not actually available),then we were brought only 3 plates.Asking for another plate, we heard the waiter's outrage:"Well now"🫣.
The hand was barely warm and dried, clearly cooked yesterday and heated in the microwave to serve. In general, of all this splendour, only bread with pickles could be eaten.

I came here with some friends and we tried the Hovezi svickova with dumplings. The service was very fast, the staff is very kind and the meals were delicious

A bit out of the crowdy places along the river, you can find this nice restaurant with an interesting menu. Traditional pork steak is reccomended since it is really good.

We ate here twice during 4 days because food was really teasty , prices resonable and service very nice.

We decided to visit this place because of high rates in TripAdvisor but the food was really bad. We had pork ribs and duck leg, and both dishes were super dry and hard to chew - like they were put in the oven too many times. Only beer was tasty.

It is the absolutely best place for economy travel after the Prague or Dresden price level. Nice owner , good location, tasty food. We have taken meat and the beer , photos attached

Chose the restaurant due to its authentic design. It’s very cute inside. Meal was nice but wrong. We chose by the Czech description whereas Russian translation was totally different. And were surprised to get the Russian version of the meal. But didn’t have time already to wait for another option to be cooked as the kid was really hungry. So instead of veggies the kid had knedliki ... soup in the bread was tasty but in other restaurants the bread is crunchy which adds a flavor.
