I picked this restaurant randomly. The food was good here, but portions were so huge, that I couldn't finish it. Especially potato gnocchi with chicken meat and spinach which I had was really rich. Waitress was very kind and service was quick. I think it was a bit overpriced here, but that was, what I found at every restaurant in Karlovy Vary - prices were higher than was usual in this area.

Fair prices, good cuisine

Located not far from the city center the restaurant has significantly lower prices than those near the colonnade. It serves a plenty of traditional czech dishes along with quality draft beer. Very polite and quick service.

Right place for food

We were visiting the city and the restaurant advised us the guide. We were two couples and each ordered a plate, which we were satisfied with in terms of quantity. As for quality, we were also satisfied. The service, correct and the price somewhat expensive, but the food was abundant and quality.

The most worth service ever

The most terrible service. They brought 2 beers, one was not topped up ... Then we noticed that there was a broken glass in the half-filled glass, to which the waiter began to be rude to us, that these were our problems and he would not change anything because the beer was almost drunk, while we did not ask for a replacement . And then he started yelling that our children broke the glass, despite the fact that the beer was still in it. The most terrible service!

Excellent inexpensive and tasty lunch in Karlovy Vary

Great lunch!!! Friendly staff, clean, cozy, homely and most importantly, not expensive. It was included in the Top three places in the Czech Republic that I liked, although there are many excellent places to eat in the Czech Republic. I recommend it!!!

Worst service ever - waiting 30 min for a soup and another 20 for a burger. When done, waiting 20 min for a bill. It is not a restaurant, it is a bar- no etiquete, no timming, just a food for a factory workers.. not recommending!

Great Czech food

We went there once for dinner and today for lunch. The dishes are good Czech home cooking. Highly recommended if you want to eat typical Czech food. The staff are also very attentive and friendly.

Chewy meat, impolite waitress and chef

I strongly do NOT recommend this place. I ordered the beef (svíčková) with knedliki. The beef was hard and I barely could chew it. I told the waiter that I don't like the meat, and he brought me a plate so that I could put apart the meat and eat only the knedliki. I ate only the knedliki with the sause and a drink. It was obvious for me that I should pay only the knedliki and the drink, because I put the meat apart. The waiter insisted that I should pay also the meat. Then the chef came and insisted that I pay for everything inclusive the meat. I refused to pay the meat that tastes like a shoe and they called the POLICE! Unfortunately the police agreed with the waiter and the chef and told me that I had to pay everything. Of course I paid. What could I do as a single female tourist who doesn’t speak Czeck language... The waitress that smiled to me with her 32 teeth 5 min ago, told me in front of the police "don't be sorry, just pay!" Really, don't go there. There are many nice alternatives in Karlovy Vary if you want to have good food and spend time nicely. For example Tusculum or Harmonie.

Nice location and food

This was a nice surprise, I was hungry and the food was good. The prom knuckle will probably feed two people... and the chicken schnitzel was great, also the small side salad. I love that it is a little lettuce and a lot of veggies, rather than the opposite, and tasty dressing. Outdoor dining was very pleasant. Good service.

Usual Czech service - meaning not overly friendly or attentive. Somewhat unpleasant air inside, but nice terrace (unless it too cold). Nice honey cake and good servings of tea. Best is that close at 2300 - unlike majority of the places in KV

Quite bad...

Not horrible but far from good. We ordered a goulash. There we 3 pieces of meat and plain dumpling. Meat was tough and full of veins. Weitress was nice and attentive - only good thing in that place. I do not recommend. Manager and the chef should rethink the menu and ingredients.

Great Czech restaurant on the normal side

Given a recommendation to go there. In the normal part of town. Be warned - the further you get to hotel pupp the more expensive the cafes and restaurants are. Good food at reasonable prices. Wholesome Czech cuisine.

Terrible service

Dont recommend this place if you expect a good service because service there is just terrible. I cant give comments regarding food because we didnt get it at all. There was a waitress lady with blond hair, she bring us menu, actually the menu was thrown on out table. After one minute she came to take drink order and when we start asking absolute normal questions about drinks she reply so impolitely and now i think that it was the time to leave this place but okey we decide to stay because was quite hungry. When she returned back again after some minutes and hear that we are not ready to order need more time she reply very rude and this was the point when we decide to leave. Drink out what we order at the beginning and leave. And even we come to bar and tell all that to a man who looks like he was a manager of this blond waitress he even didnt say "sorry" to us. Really people dont know what a good service means. So sad, so good and beautiful city but so poor service in this place. Feel sorry for future clients.
