Firstly, I would like to mention on the night we arrived the restaurant was at full capacity due to a concert being in town which we were able to actually watch and hear out on the terrace. We had booked in advance which I would...recommend everyone to do as this restaurant is always very busy. Secondly, yes the service was very slow. Did we mind? No, we were on holiday and enjoying ourselves and we had a lovely drink to keep us quiet. We noticed very quickly that there were only 2 servers and 1 bar man. Bless them is all I can say. They worked tremendously hard and were under a great deal of pressure which I imagine was due to no fault of their own. Thirdly, the food was exceptional. I had the Caprese salad to begin with. It was divine. For mains I had the Spaghetti carbonara which was delicious. So much garlic and cream. Just gorgeous. My husband had the pork knuckle which was incredible. The meat was so tender it just fell away from the bone and accompanied with creamy potatoes...what more could you want? I do have a confession, however, it was not perfect. If the restaurant is short staffed and busy I do not recommend ordering the pancakes. 1. They arrived stone cold. 2. The ice cream inside had completely melted leaving a giant puddle of cream. 3. The "nutella" was not nutella but the chocolate sauce you would put on ice cream. The dessert did disappoint me but we had had such a lovely meal beforehand it would definitely not deter me in returning in the future for a third visit! The price overall was relatively expensive, even for Karlovy Vary, but the food was so delicious it was worth it. Lastly, I would like to thank the staff who worked incredibly hard that night of the concert and were in no way "arrogant" or "rude" as I have read them described in other reviews. They were very friendly. P.s. the added amounts on the bottom of the receipt are tax and City tax. Be aware of city tax wherever you go as it is added to most things.More

There was nothing else open in town at this time on a Sunday. We ordered a salami pizza. It was ready in 10 minutes. Tasted good

Terribly slow and uinterested staff, waited for someone noticing us, for menus, 30 mins for 2 salads and all this while there were 8-10 customers in the restaurant. Completely mediocre food, little to no seasoning, burnt chicken and a litre of olive oil. Unacceptable for...a restaurant that charges 4.5€ for a pitcher of tap water.More

Service was great during our visit. We had some special requests and they graciously fulfilled them. The pizza crusts (and toppings) were delicious!

The service here seemed fine, and the food okay, until we received the bill. There was something marked "Extra" added at the bottom. When I asked, I was told this was tax. After doing some research, we discovered this is nonsense, to put it nicely.

This is one of three or four restaurants in a row on the street up above and across from the park with the Hotel Thermal. None looked good but we were in a bind with it being 9:30 pm and restaurants turning us away because...they had already closed the kitchen. (REALLY??) We sat on an indoor / outdoor terrace with some glass walls open but it was so hot with such bright lights we were wilting. The décor could use some spiffing up - it looks old and tired. The pizza bread was the hit of the night; it was delicious and they put some cheese on it for me and melted it without me even asking so it was like delicious comfort food after a long day. It's ok. Not the best not the worst. Friendly waiter.More

First, I live here in Czech Republic and have been to Karlovy Vary many times and had great meals on each visit. But this one neither lived up to expectations or its own advertising. Some examples. 1) despite almost minor in the restaurant the service...was slow, presumably because of the kitchen since staff were very attentive. 2) the pizza picante was just like the ham pizza but with two peppers added for effect 3) the chicken salad had just enough of a sprinkling of chicken to be called chicken salad and was smothered in cream sauce 4) the risotto fruit de mare had what looked like half a dozen shelled mussels and watery rice 5) the pork arrived last and medium rare! (photo attached) 6) the burger was obviously from a frozen patty 7) the Greek salad came with lettuce, no oregano, few red onion or peppers, and green olives (huh?). Ok in general, but absolutely NOT a Greek salad The list goes on, but you get the idea. Avoid this one. For the rather expensive prices here, you can do MUCH, MUCH better.More
