When taking away the plates a dirty fork fell on my coat. The waiter didn’t apologise, just said “upsik”. I would expect more professionalism at a place like this.

Having returned from my stay in Karlovy Vary, I see that this restaurant has a rather high rating. Unfortunately I can't say the same about my experience. We were a group of 15 people, and we ate a fixed menu for dinner here, agreed in advance. The soup was good, as was the schnitzel with boiled potatoes (nothing exceptional anyway). The dessert, however, was in my opinion unpleasant: two large dumplings, presented on the menu as "Stuffed dumpling with seasonal fruit, grated cottage cheese, sugar and butter". Despite the inviting description, they seemed unappetizing to everyone. But above all, in addition to being very voluminous, they were two for each: a disproportionate dessert. Some of us didn't even touch them, others tasted a part of them, only I consumed one and a half. Too bad, because the restaurant is pleasant, with its rustic wooden furniture, creating a real Central European atmosphere.

Terrible food. The jolan has the appearance of vomited food. The salad is disgusting. The schnitzel is tough.

On a cold and damp day this was a perfect choice for a leisurely satisfying meal. The menu is typical Czech cuisine, but done well and prices decent for this popular tourist city. Our server was super friendly and attentive. This was our last meal in Karlovy Vary, and we will cherish the memories. Try the unfiltered Becherovka!

The "hidden" Looks like it was taken from a fairy tale. The entire restaurant in the basement is built with arches and everything is made of solid wood from the floor to the tables. The restaurant serve traditional Check food and we couldnt say allot about it, it was with a group and they were happy and eat kosher so we took some vegiterian dishes that were good also. Even the way to the bathrooms is great and unique

Loved this so much. Ambiance is so great. Brick walls, cozy, modern. Food is traditional and delicious. I was able to get a salad which I always eat. The roasted veg were so good! 1500k for 4pax. Easy parking at public lot too.

Having visited this restaurant a few years previously, we were desperate to return. The atmosphere is rustic and very cool. The tables and chairs have the logo burned into them which is very unique and you can actually see the Karel IV beer being brewed if you sit in the right area. The staff are very friendly and polite and speak several languages between them. My husband had the Goulash with Bacon Dumplings which he said was the best he had ever had. He is a Czech so this is very high praise indeed. I also tried it and agreed. I had the fried chicken steaks which were delicious with huge helpings of their home made tartare sauce. I had a glass of wine and a coca cola and my husband opted for the Karel IV beer which he thoroughly enjoyed. Overall a great atmosphere in a very quirky setting which friendly staff and great food at reasonable prices.

Very good choice in a nice location in a cellar with big wooden tables. It's a brewery and beers are good. The meals are well cooked and rich. Prices are in line with the quality of the food. We have eaten an half duck with side dishes and one burger with homemade bread and side dishes with two beers (one big and one small). We payed 652 Kc.

We’ve been eating traditional Bohemian food before in Prague and Plzen and basically all the time we’ve been served with good quality and well-priced food. Unfortunately I wasn’t very satisfied with the meal I was served here yesterday. I had that funny feeling, that the beef stew contained some meat (maybe not beef or an “odd” part of it) that it wasn’t suppose to contain. The consistency of a few meat pieces was just simply strange. And the rest was chewy. However, my son’s schnitzel was fresh and crunchy, just how it should be. And another point that seems to be normal here: main course is served while still consuming the starters.... I find it super inconvenient.
