Very friendly service, excellent advice on wine. We were not offered the most expensive and very fair 👍 in terms of pricing. A quarter of a duck was priced 10% more expensive than half the price of a duck.
The smoked eel as a starter large portion and great draped.
Half a duck is enough for two people. Perfect cooking point, very good herb red and white. Three different dumplings. At the end there was Becherovka for everyone.

We had reserved a nice table in the dragon room, very nice and hard-working waiter. We were well advised and served. The hearty Bohemian cuisine there is very tasty, the price-performance ratio is slightly higher than the hotel level, but the good portions make up for it. The white cabbage was extremely tasty and so were the starters with a selection of fresh bread. We would definitely go there again.

This renowned establishment in Karlovy Vary serves quality traditional Czech cuisine in a remarkable setting. Special mention for the roasted strawberries with green pepper! Very good service. On the other hand, this address which welcomes celebrities, charges corresponding prices, a little higher than the country's average. Nevertheless, we very much enjoyed our evening in this restaurant which is worth a visit.

We went for a dinner. At the front door we've been told by a waiter that they were fully booked (despite 80% of the tables being empty), so we went out and entered the Embassy hotel as we're thinking it was a separate place. The lady at the reception told us there was enough space in the restaurant and sent us in. We were seated. The waiter wasn't very chatty, and obviously wasn't happy with our choice of local wines (we didn't want an Italian or Spanish when we were in Czech). We ordered the food which was fine. However it did cost an effort to the waiter to serve. Then another couple arrived which was Czech. The waiter completely charged and was very nice with them, recommending the Czech wines... I used to have a close friend that was Czech so I do understand the language pretty well. There is a huge difference in the way how they treat the foreign tourists and the Czech. It shouldn't happen but it does. Despite the many photos on the front with the celebrities that have visited the restaurant, the place isn't foreigners friendly which is a shame as the the food isn't bad. We didn't fancy staying for the dessert anymore, just wanted out. I wouldn't recommend it as it it makes feel not welcome or comfortable.

First of all, something positive, a very nice , cozy restaurant.
We were the first guests for dinner (kitchen was not yet overloaded) and had a goose leg, dumplings which were both not only lukewarm but cold, only the herb was warm. Furthermore, my deer back was lukewarm, the corresponding dumplings cold. After complaints, the leg and dumplings were heated and returned to the table after 10 minutes. We would have loved to have had dinner together. Tastefully the food was good, the waiter also apologized , but nevertheless for us an absolute NoGo in

We did not had a reservation, but decided to ask, if there was a table for two persons. We were seated to the poorest table of the half empty restaurant, as waiter said that it is only available table. Not very warm welcoming. However, all the better tables remained empty for whole evening. We got wrong starers, and only one of them was changed to right one after negotiations with waiter. Food was very plain and under seasoned. However, most ridiculous event was paying the bill. Waiter was asking the tip (unpolitely), and when asked to add 10 %, he added 30 %. Unfortunately, I noticed this only after paying.
We decided to go to this restaurant, as we read that it is the best restaurant in the town. If this is the best you can get in Karlovy Vary, then I recommend to take your own food with you.

Dissatisfied.
Started with watery aperol where waiter tried to explain that maybe “in my country” it’s done differently but here they do 1oz of aperol and soda water. This relation to a customer is unacceptable.
Second, tartar was just placed on the table and we were supposed to mix the tartar ourselves.
The rudeness of the waiter bringing the stuff too late or not being polite in general left us strongly dissatisfied.
Not recommending the place, the food in general is 4/10 as well.

Embassy restaurant is absolutely fantastic.
If it would be possible to give it a Michelin star they would deserve one. Everything was fabulous - dishes were delicious, service was excellent and the ambiance was amazing. We were able to enjoy the wild mushrooms appetizer, roasted duck with best dumplings ever and out of this world plums and poppyseed desert. The local wine was great.
Can’t wait to come back.

Really delicious & authentic food in a rustic atmosphere with very friendly service.
We celebrated a birthday meal here with the whole family.
The portions are really!!! big and actually impossible to finish.
We had the potato soup with porcini mushrooms, the scampi, the tartar, schnitzel, duck...
Our highlight was the plum dumplings from the dessert menu 🤩

Today we came across an inconspicuous restaurant by chance that had just opened.
Very nice, friendly service and the food
(goose leg) was super delicious. I recommend making a reservation as it filled up quickly and tables had already been reserved in advance. We'd love to come back 🫠☺️

Actually a 5.0. The food was excellent, the wine very good, the atmosphere great.
Unfortunately it is often the service that did its job very well, but, as is often the case in Karlovy Vary, was not very friendly or warm, so you didn't feel particularly welcome.

A very good restaurant with good food . Mainly local specialties good cooked and nicely served. Restaurant located just in center of town on the river . Meat and fish dishes, good wine and beer. Service professional and quite friendly. Kitchen closes early , 2200 . Roasted duck was very special . Price 50-70 USDLRS per person including wine and tip.

This review is about the Embassy Restaurant. I did not stay at the hotel. Before entering, you can see the Hollywood stars who have been here to dine in the past few years. My wife and I dined here for our second night in this spa town. We each started with a soup. She opted for the lobster cappuccino with a cheese stick while I enjoyed the best traditional borscht I ever had. For dinner, my wife went with the eggplant lasagna with fresh basil. She said it was the best she ever had in her life. I chose the South American steak atop mash potatoes with chimichurri sauce and thinly cut red pepper strips. We enjoyed a bottle of a Czech Riesling and it was wonderful. For dessert, we ordered a unique dessert of strawberries with green peppercorn in a brandy sauce with scoops of chocolate, vanilla, and pistachio ice cream on a wafer with a pirouette. The food and service definitely deserve a Michelin look!

We wanted to enjoy ourself, so me and my husband decided to try this restaurant because our friends who were here during film festival recommended it and we couldn't do better. I went with vegetarian variant - the eggplant lasagna with fresh basil. Love it!

We wanted to visit the restaurant with our small, really well-behaved dogs. The website says that animals are allowed. We were sent away, the employee explained that his boss forbids dogs. It's a shame that we weren't welcome. Good for the owner, because apparently he doesn't need it...
