We spent three nights in this incredible spa town with each dinner getting better than the night before. To be fair, every meal was exceptional; however, this one was the best of the three. The wait staff was incredible. We were surprised we were able...to get in without a reservation. The whole evening was perfect with my wife and I being the only ones left as we chatted for a while with a very friendly and informative waiter. We started with a glass of Prosecco and finished the evening off with a second glass. Our appetizers were the French onion soup for me and the grilled shrimp with garlic rémoulade and seaweed. For our main courses, my wife ordered the sea bass with more seaweed, mashed potatoes, and a deconstructed ratatouille. I selected the lamb chops, which were perfectly flambéed tableside. Interior is more beautiful than what is seen in the photo. Stayed in this hotel as well. Food was delicious with exceptional and professional service. Even had "flaming" tableside preparations. Love the Czech wines.

The restaurant interior is very smart and the waiter service was friendly and professional. I started with a ‘mushroom variation’ platter, and it was beautifully presented but a little bland. As main dish my wife chose fallow deer filet and I preferred sea bass. Both...were cooked correctly, as were the accompanying vegetables, but again there was little spicing and the overall impression was a bit insipid. This is definitely a restaurant on the upper end of the scale - quality wise and price wise. We booked a table for a special last night in Karlovy Vary and it turned out to be a good choice. The food was delicious and service...friendly and attentive. The highlight was definitely Crêpes Suzette. The price tag is not low as one can expect for a restaurant like this.More

It's a beautiful, intimate room and the staff are great. Full of personality and happy to make recommendations. It's classic French food with a Czech twist. A wonderful fusion. It isn't fussy or pretentious at all, just lovely old world charm and well worth a...visit for some great food. This was our second time at this restaurant, it was as delicious as we remembered. The service was as always excellent and the food... just unbelievably delicious. The venison was expertly prepared and I fully recommend it. The crêpes suzette were marvelous. Will for sure...come back for a third time!More

Eating here was the highlight of an otherwise highly disappointing trip. The restaurant is quite small, so it has an intimate feel. The staff are all polite, communicative and professional. We had the carpaccio appetizer and then I had the lamb chops and my wife...had the duck. We were both extremely satisfied with our meals. The prices are extremely fair for the high level of quality. The wine list is rather extensive. With our meal, we had a wonderful Spanish rioja.More

We had dinner, elegant place, very nice food, excellent and very professional service with a good price. A variety of starters and main as well. Crepe suzette was prepared live in front of our eyes. Highly recommended!

OK, so I haven't eaten at every place in Karlovy Vary, but I'm quite confident that Promenada is as good as you can get. Walking in off the street, without a reservation, hoping for a spare table for dinner we were ready to be turned...away. But no, we were warmly welcomed and every effort was made to set up a table for us, with minimal fuss and inconvenience to other diners. Great start. While never being a fan of French cooking, or French restaurants, Promenada made me think twice about my previous experiences, and that I probably have just had isolated bad dining experiences - mostly in England (ha!). The service was as good as anywhere I have been - friendly, cheerful, positive and very helpful with suggestions of wine and drinks, and with detailed information about the dishes on offer. (Multilingual too). The starter of smoked trout served with a horseradish-infused mayonnaise. So light, so good. For mains we had veal scallop and rabbit with bacon and garlic. My pictures don't show how well prepared these dishes were, nor how well balanced they both tasted, but wow... they were on point. I'm also not a fan of a loaded plate, and prefer the popular way of presenting meals by building the dish upwards, but this is all forgotten as we sat there slowly demolishing of dinners, with only an occasional moan of satisfaction escaping our lips. Brilliant cooking. We had a good chat with the dining staff about wine selections, and opted for a bottle from the owners' vineyard. Very reasonably priced and a perfect accompaniment to both our dishes. We also let our waiter talk us into sharing the strawberry dumplings for dessert, along with a hruškovice that they had matured in an oak-barrel so it had developed a creamy flavour and taken some edge of the harshness off similar store-bought Czech alcoholic beverages. Highly recommended. Can't praise the crew at Promenada any higher.More

Very friendly and cosy restaurant. Suberb food, reasonably priced and well presented. Nothing bad to say about it at all. Myself and my sister were even given a rose each as we left.

Great start with an exceptional finish (Brilliant Pancake) 1. There are many selections of appetizers and they all have unique taste. More importantly, it is free !!! 2. The soups are great, though it is really hard to screw up a mushroom cream soup and...onion cheese soup. Nevertheless, both of them are rich in flavor and seasoned properly. 3. I really like the main course because it is pretty special, we ordered reindeer and birds, though it is a first time to us, we loving it. (Though the reindeer has lots of bone) 4. As I said, it ends with a brilliant finish, and this is definitely a must try and it is the pancake ! The waiter will cook it in front of you and when you just smell the pancake, your saliva could definitely not able to resist the temptation. PANCAKE IS WONDERFUL 5. Exceptional service, I have never been to a restaurant that a waiter knows how to cook.More

Stumbled across this place after visiting the Christmas market and this restaurant is the very best Karlovy Vary has to offer! The ambiance is perfect, the service is on point and sharp, not to mention the food is delicious. On a global level of fine...dining restaurants this one is up there and if you are a foodie the price point is too good not to visit!More
