While there, I heard the waiters speaking fluent English, Russian and German. They are very polite and professional.
The food was amazing (my wife had to order the lentil soup after a tiny sip from mine) in an unbeatable price range for a tourist destination. The beer is fresh and exact temperature - they sure know how to take care of the system, the taste is way above average Pilsner.
Warm minimalist atmosphere, everything sparkling clean.
Make a reservation to avoid disappointment. Totally worth it!

I've been here probably three times and because I come from Karlovy Vary I know the pain of looking for a good place to eat. So I think this place deserves my review!
Each and every time I was here It was really nice! The place itself is sophisticatedly designed, very aesthetically pleasing, no tacky chairs or tables and very nice place to spend a quiet lunch or business dinner.
The service is very professional, no sticky fingers on your plates, always polite and nice (which is not quite standard here in Czech Republic, sadly), patient and helpful when I had a hard time choosing what to eat. I must especially mention waiter Jiří, who seemed to be very professional and took very good care of our table.
The most important thing – food – was just amazing! Rather traditional czech food but with a modern approach. I've had here chicken broth, roasted chicken legs with honey and chili and tomato sauce with beef and homemade dumplings. Always so tasty! Perfectly seasoned, well served, clean silver... Oh, and I can't forget the famous lukewarm apple charlotte called "žemlovka"! Loved the sweet pudding feeling inside, well balanced flavours. Just loved it, I must try it again :).
Overall it is a very nice place to eat in Karlovy Vary, never disappointing and one of my favourites :).

Very pleasant restaurant with modern and cozy interior where you can spend very enjoyable quiet time. The staff is very professional, providing outstanding service and thus elevating the already great experience to yet another level. Food excellent - a refreshingly modern take on (mostly) traditional cuisine, amazing wines from Madl winery. Staff very attentive and friendly. The presentation of food and drinks was just as nice and tasty as the restaurant itself - even tap water was served with slices of lemon and oranges, with ice cubes in a separate glass. As a person with food allergies I very much appreciated the willingness of the staff to help me find items in the menu that I could have, as well as offering alternative versions without the allergen, and being very helpful in general. The restaurant is not located in the spa center but still in a walking distance. Whenever I'm back in Karlovy Vary I visit again!

I was visiting this restaurant on my birthday. The staff were rude, they wouldn't let us sit outside when there were clearly tables available. We ordered a starter to share and two mains but they only brought over the starter and my main, when we questioned the waiter they claimed we never ordered the main, we did and we also asked questions about it. I had to eat my main on my own otherwise it would have got cold, 10 minutes later I had to watch my parter eat his. We didn't order desert as we just wanted to get out of there as quick as possible.

Came in on Saturday evening and the male waiter was extremely rude. Literally shouted at my friend for trying to clarify where we could or couldn’t sit. I wanted to leave as I felt so uncomfortable and would have done so if it wasn’t for the female waiter who actually dealt with us thereafter and was very friendly. Food was okay but nothing special, though I couldn’t appreciate any of it after the way the male waiter spoke to a customer.

Lovely place and a great concept of private public partnership supported by great business to offer work placements for students/interns. The interior is modern but cosy, perfect place for brunch or dinner. The menu offers classic dishes made with high quality ingredients not to forget the best beer in CR ( tank!). I would love to visit again.

La Hospoda is a pub-restaurant along the river but outside the center of Karlovy Vary, on the way to the train and bus station. The location makes it more "local" than "touristic" somehow. The outside terrace is pretty and pleasant. Compared to some reviews I'm reading here, I didn't have any problem with the staff, on the contrary they all seemed very nice. I ordered a burger that took a surprisingly long-ish time to arrive (the place was not full) but it was tasty and worth the wait. Recommended.

If you are looking for traditional Czech cuisine, you have to visit this place.
Pilsner Urquell in pipes, food really delicious and staff more obliging than I expected from this type of restaurant.

Our visit at La Hospoda in Karlovy Vary was very pleasant. In contrast to the rather historic old town of Karlovy Vary La Hospoda is a quite modern restaurant. The food is local but on the finer side, the staff very friendly and capable of speaking German, English and Czech. The food is priced very fairly (ranging form about 10 to 20 euros for main courses) and tastes delicious.
We enjoyed our lunch at La Hospoda and are happy to visit this place again!

This restaurant (which supposedly opened not very long ago) serves a good selection of tasty Czech food. The ambience is friendly and relaxed and the service friendly. The food was very tasty and well presented. Good choice for a relaxed dinner with friends or family.

We had lunch at the hospoda by chance and we were delighted. The setting is very pleasant, there is a terrace and an air-conditioned room. The service is efficient and the quality/price ratio is worth the detour.
For my part, I ordered a Cesar salad which was hearty with pieces of chicken fillet cooked to perfection, parmesan shavings and well-seasoned fresh salad.
The draft beer was cold and refreshing.
I recommend this address.

We visited again after a while. A restaurant within sight of the Thermal Hotel with a pleasant atmosphere and plenty of personal space, decent lighting exactly where the guest needs it. Outside of the winter months, it also has a spacious garden.
Once again, we were greeted by an unusually high level of service and pro-customer behavior of the staff. The tables are precisely prepared, the cutlery is placed in gloves.
The restaurant also functions as a professional training place for students of gastronomy, where they can try and learn a really high level of gastronomy.
The basic must-try definitely includes the top-quality Pilsner Urquell beer, on tap in all known varieties, i.e. from flat to milk. The beer swirled beautifully and the foam held even after a long time, because the precisely washed glass lay in the cooling tub before pouring.
The ordered bottle of wine was placed in a cooler with ice and the staff topped up the wine exactly when it was needed.
We tried the beef cheeks in red wine with root vegetables and homemade gnocchi. It was a classy experience. As a sweet spot, there were plum dumplings with grated cottage cheese and peanut butter, which was also a great choice.
Espresso with thick crema, supplemented with two types of sugar, coffee without signs of increased acidity, the taste is pleasantly bitter with caramel sweetness, according to the color and taste, the coffee was roasted on a dark roast. Simply great!
At this price level, we have not yet found adequate competition in Karlovy Vary, a great recommendation for us.

The reception area is a bit irritating as soon as you enter: Guests sit at high tables in the entrance area, giving the restaurant a kind of waiting hall atmosphere. Inside, you can expect a surprisingly bright light that does little to make you feel comfortable and more like a canteen.
The service could be more open. Several waiters saw us entering, but no greeting was given. Only at the bar were we kindly forwarded to a colleague who took us to a table in the back. There – surrounded by three large groups – it was loud and restless. After consultation, we were fortunately able to switch to the front area, where the light was more pleasant and the soundscape more relaxed.
The decor seems a bit cluttered: The stylish bar and comfortable furniture get lost between plastic plants and Halloween decorations, which give the room an uneven line and make the overall impression look restless.
The food, however, is convincing – this is where La Hospoda’s strength lies. The dishes are thoughtful, nicely arranged and tastefully harmonious. Also the drinks were pleasantly cool and refreshing.
The service after the reception remained friendly and attentive, but more objective than warm.
Overall, La Hospoda is a lively place with solid cuisine, but the ambience could be made clearer and more welcoming. For guests who focus on the food, the restaurant offers a satisfying experience. However, those who value a harmonious atmosphere may find alternatives with a clearer concept in the surrounding area.

Not placed directly at the promenade this restaurant is near the centre and an easy walk from the colonnades.
The food was of superior standard, so the chef must be excellent. Also the service was outstanding and at the level of highclass gastronomy. Nevertheless the atmosphere is very comforting and not stiff or stuck up at all.
Big recommendation for couples, groups and families!

Good restaraunt in Karlovy Vary with delicious food, but unfortunately one thing destroys all good impressions - one male waiter is pretty rude. We had the feeling he doesn’t want us to fell comfortable being there - he didn’t help us with menu, just repeating - „look at menu, look at menu“ though we don’t speak Czech.
Hopefully the restaraunt owner will see that review and can handle it. For me personally service at the restaraunt is the key.
