We stopped for lunch during a full day tour. No one speaks English and the menus are in Czech. However, none of that was a problem, because our tour guide graciously made his own translated menus for us. There was not one person who was...unhappy with their meal. Meat Mac n cheese, potato dumplings, chicken, pork... all excellent. They have so much to offer in the way of drinks. A brand of soda (I think they make themselves? Or is popular to the area), regular sodas, beers, wines, etc. It is so quaint and perfect for a quiet afternoon or evening. You’ll be missing out if you don’t add this to your musts@More

One of the best option to eat in whole Northern Bohemia region. Absolutely stunning place in the middle of the forest, couple of hundred meters from German border. Quiet location, renovated historical buildings. Food was excelent, selection of drinks for such restaurant is dissappointment (standard...supermaker brands like Bohemia Sekt, Velkopopovický Kozel or cheap Spanish wines by glass, or Znovin Znojmo even on a special wine list). Local small brewery and selection of wines from small and local wineries would definitely help.More

Read till the end... Its nowhere. Real country side. Old fashion style, with moose and deer heads hanging everywhere. Poor english, less than attentive service, with higher cost than it should be. So why is the rating high? And we rate Michelin star restaurants the...same... Dont order the same dishes you can order in any other place. Whats the point? Chicken? Another goulash (which is very good...)? Ask for whats special! What game do they have... Like wild boar and venison, with wild berries and wine-meat stock reduced. This is how country style food at its best ans should be prepared, Stick to it and youll have great lunch/dinner.More

I had the misfortune of dining in this Restaurant with a group of friends and neither I, or any of my friends will ever return to what I can only describe as a horrendous dining experience! We ordered lamb and it was served served cold!...The only good thing was their mashed peas served with sausage (klobasa)! This was my second visit, and the first was no better; however, we were told that the Restaurant had improved and that it was rated as one of the Top-10 in the Czech Republic! Absolute rubbish! I can only assume the owners bribed the inspectors/evaluators which I'm afraid happens all too often here in the Czech Republic! Avoid this Restaurant like the plague ......More
