sat down in this quaint restaurant to eat some traditional czech sandwiches. it was absolutely delicious. i think they only accept cash.
First time in Cesky Krumlov and thought of having some traditional dishes of this area and found this little quaint but nice Bohemian restaurant. Both of us ordered grilled trouts, my husband's dish was trout with garlic, side dish was deep fried potato's and mine...was trout with bacon, side dish was grilled vegetables. No regret of trying the food out here as the trouts were fresh and juicy, grilled vegetables was done perfectly and we also loved those fried potatoes. The price is in a mid-range if you considered Cesky Krumlov is an UNESCO heritage site. Overall, it is a restaurant you can try if you want to have some bohemian foods.More
The service was rude and unfriendly. The food it was just okay.It is outaregeous that a restaurant located in the center of Cesky doesn't accept credit cards.Nobody informed us about this since we asked for the bill and then they were ironic about not having...cash with us. NOT RECCOMENDED.More
The service was impolite and bad. Our waiter was ironic! The food was anything but good and the prices are too high considering what they serving. NOT recommended!!!
My wife and I both had the mixed grill, and it was delicious. Very tender meat. Waiters also very helpful. Thank you, definitely recommended!
We tried several of their dishes with our group, and we were all disappointed by the food and beer. It lacked flavour, was tiny and expensive for what we ordered (compared with the other restaurants and the rest of the Czech Republic). When I asked...the waiter why do the dishes look so drastically different from the pictures, he slyly commented: "These pictures are from Google, it's not what you're going to get". As the cherry on top, the draft beer was pretty flat. So I would recommend avoiding this restaurant.More
Disappointed.. we have ordered 4 plates and 2 were steaks. They didnot ask us how would it to be cooked. Food were served after 40 min..Steaks were burnt, and werenot able to chew at all. We have also ordered beers and glass were dirty.. Besides,...very very disappointed at the attitiude of staff members..We have waited in a long queue but some of visitors just went in, ignoring those long queue. Obviously, we thought staff would restrain those people but just let them in. At the end of our meal, when we did the payment, staff was emphasizing 10% of tips...Service and food were very poor..but had to give them tips..wow..More
Such amazing restaurant, all foods on my dish are delicious, I would come back again. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Simple restaurant with good food. Prices are fair and the service is ok. Had to wait us for a free table but it was worth.
It has been difficult to feel welcomed anywhere we go in this region. In fact some our group have heritage here. Last night we were refused seating at don julio even though there were many available seating options. Across the street we were able to...get a table outside which before drinks was changed to inside by the person waiting on us. We were the only english speaking patrons looking for a chek style dinner which he assisted us with making our selections. The meal was everything it should be and brought back that "comfort" feeling of years past and family heritage. Simple pork and dumplings with cabbage (what we call sauerkraut) was perfect. A few bottles of inexpensive local red wine, a couple of great appetizers and shared pancakes (crepes) with cinnamon and jam and an apple cake was more than enough to finish off this leg of our journey on the best of ways. We tipped fittingly and the servers were appreciative. A handshake from him, a look eye to eye and a simple "thank you mister" was all it took. Please stop bye if your here and say hello. You might be surprised in what you get.More
We started outside on the sidewalk with a drink, and ate inside to keep a little warmer. The menu was excellent, the food delicious and great value for money. Highly recommended.
Go here for the potato pancake stuffed with smoked meat and cabbage. I've been in the Czech Republic for nine days and this is the first time I've seen this meal. It's delicious! There's a big slice of ham and the cabbage is sweet and...sour. It's folded into a crispy potato pancake and covered with gravy. It will stick to your ribs and comes in under the average price for a meal in Cesky Krumlov.More
Don’t bother. Weak service. Terrible food. Awful wine. Keep in mind that I had wonderful wine 4 nights in a row in Prague and Cesky Krumlov.
Overwhelmed with the beautiful views and so many restaurants, we finally decided on Restaurant Bohemia because it had outside seating available and a variety of czech dishes. The sausages/appetizer were what we expected but the potato salad/side and the chicken dish with cranberry and apple......wow! So tender, flavorful and refreshing! Servers were friendly and attentive but didn't feel rushed.More
