Delicious food with very fresh ingredients and creative combinations of flavors. Wonderful service and atmosphere. Including meals during our 10 days in Prague, this was the best meal! Lovely evening on the patio outside. A very special night!!
We had Christmas lunch here and loved every minute of the experience, from the home made bread with mushroom served warm home made butter, to the foie gras entree and the pork main. Each meal was explained and there was a lovely story behind every...wine we ordered. The restaurant only seats 22 so book if you want to get in. Fine dining at very reasonable prices, total bill for 4 people 2 courses each with a bottle of wine and a few other glasses of wine and scotch was around 2,500kMore

The inside dining room is small and cozy, and was perfect for us on the cool night we were there. (There is a large outdoor seating area.) Enjoyed appetizers of foie gras and dill soup (which is so unbelievably delicious!) and then entrees of lamb...and sea bass. Everything was perfectly prepared and delicious. Staff were very friendly and gracious.More

While staying in this beautiful historic town, my Czech wife & I took her dad/partner to this highly rated restaurant & unfortunately, weren't that impressed. Whilst the wait staff were attentive & knowledgeable, their extensive repertoire of the ingredients on each plate didn't really make...up for the less than wow taste sensation that we were expecting. The entrees were certainly nice, though the mains were a bit blah. Overall, we felt that the restaurant was 'trying to hard' & missed the mark on fulfilling diner expectations. With a bill of almost CZK 7k for 4 people (incl. 2 bottles of reasonable red) & neglecting to acknowledge my wife's birthday (previously advised on booking & the 1st restaurant ever to do so), it certainly fell short in our view & on this basis, we would neither recommend it, nor return again....with other restaurants offering a much better experience/value for money.More

We recently visited Le Jardin at the end of a three week European tour through Germany, Austria and Slovakia, we sampled many excellent restaurants and a few gastronomic menus which included wine pairings, two of these were 1 Star Michelin establishments which I have reviewed....From the restaurants we sampled during our four night stay in Cesky Krumlov, I would agree with TA reviews and state that Le Jardin is probably the best restaurant in the town. The 7 course gastronomic menu is worth trying but I wouldn’t recommend the wine pairings as they were disappointing and not suitably paired to the menu selections. We sat in the courtyard as it was a rather warm night and it looked as though the single fan in the internal restaurant was not sufficient, the courtyard was very peaceful setting. The personnel are very sweet and attentive, they also provided a good explanation of the wine and dishes served.More

Our anniversary happened to be about the middle of our longish trip to Europe. Our daughter, who planned the entire trip and accompanied us for most of it, thought we should be in a quiet and peaceful place for the anniversary, but that place must...also give her an opportunity to arrange a memorable anniversary dinner. She chose Cesky Krumlov and Le Jardin restaurant. Bulls eye on both. After the hectic activities in Poland and the crowds and bustle of Prague, Cesky Krumlov was haven of peace and quiet, providing us an opportunity to recharge our batteries for the arduous weeks ahead in Austria and Hungary. And in Le Jardin, we had the best meal and the warmest service of our entire trip. Somewhat to our embarrassment, our daughter had informed the restaurant that it was our anniversary and we were treated with great friendliness, care and warmth. We were helped in selecting an excellent red wine. The food was explained to us expertly and the 3 of us selected 3 separate starters and mains. The service started with a complimentary amuse bouche, which served its purpose of preparing us for the meal and giving us a glimpse of the chef’s style. The starters were excellent and the portions were large enough for each of us to try a bit of the others’. The mains were of the same excellent quality. When we asked for the dessert menu, there was a slight hush, and then, to our delight, complimentary desserts were served with a flourish. The service throughout was superb. A meal we enjoyed thoroughly. Le Jardin is a restaurant we loved and one we can recommend without hesitation.More

We had a fabulous dinner in this charming upscale restaurant within the Bellevue Hotel. Le Jardin offers some cosy indoor tables, a few covers within a quiet garden courtyard, & on a terrace out front of the hotel. The white gloved service was spot on,...polished, but friendly & knowledgeable. The meal kicked off with superb homemade bread & butter & a very tasty pork belly amuse bouche. Thereafter, starters & mains were excellent; very creative, flavoursome & beautifully presented. Not sure if it’s a local trait but the chef had a tendency towards sweet sauces in his savoury dishes. Interesting! Puds were less impressive & the recommended chocolate fondant was a heavy beast. Overall though, a damn good meal, & the place to come for a smart lunch/dinner. Quite pricey for the area, with steaks priced at £30. They also offer a tasting menu, with or without wine flight.More

We had two dinners at Le Jardin. The first was potato soup with a soft boiled egg and mushrooms, then sea bass with carrot puree and spinach dumplings and a bottle of Czech sauvignon blanc. An excellent dinner, but the waiter smelled as if he...forgot to use his deodorant that morning. The second dinner with the same smelly waiter. We skipped a starter, so had just the amuse bouche and duck confit and guinea hen, both very good.More
