We enjoyed an authentic Italian lunch in a very nice terrace. We are Italian food lovers so, based on reviews, we decided to have lunch in Nonna Gina just right after our arrival to Cesky Krumlov. We ordered a delicious Bolognese Lasagna (very creamy texture) and Parma Prosciutto Pizza (also a very good choice) . The food was very good and the service very fast and friendly so we would recommend this restaurant for sure. Also, we did not find it expensive at all as we paid approximately 600 CZK for two dishes and four beers.

While many restaurants in the old town of Cesky Krumlov offer classic (heavy) Czech dishes even in midsummer, the Nonna Gina is a welcome change. We were delighted to have discovered this restaurant on the connecting path between the castle and the monastery complex, which you should visit.
The friendly and attentive waitress, who spoke some English, helped us with our order. The menu was simply, but I couldn't find a (working) homepage on the internet. We didn't have to wait long. The homemade lemonade is recommended. The light, tasty soup and the large, freshly baked pizza were exactly what we were looking for after visiting the castle at lunchtime. We were very pleased with the quality of the food.
Given that this restaurant is in a tourist hotspot, the prices were just about acceptable.
There are seating options not only in the historic building, but also outside to the left and right in front of the busy entrance gate to the monastery complex.
If we had stayed longer in Cesky Krumlov, we would definitely eat here again.

Perfect!
I took my Italian friend to CK for a trip and we took pizza to go (I called, asked for 3 different pizzas and they were ready in 10 minutes) and she said it tasted like an Italian pizza. It was truly delitious. Moreover, girls working there were super nice ✨

Service was nice but the pizza was small for the price, in our opinion, also not that good. Soup was large but again disappointing. For a country which has some of the best soups in the world, they should hang their heads in shame. Drinks are all also overpriced, juice soft drinks etc. No drinks served from bottle just poured at the bar from larger juice cartoons, no ice or garnish. Beer….. hmm, again nothing special.
Tip: Get take away pizza from Krumlovsa Picka, better pizza and value for money. It’s not a restaurant however you can take your pizza, sit by the river and enjoy the views.

Great taste.
We were expecting overpriced not so tasty dish, for its location near tourist main route. But we were surprised by the nice personnel, great taste of pizza and use of fresh and high quality ingredients.

Arriving in ÄŚeskĂ˝ Krumlov after all kinds of delays with transport, and hungry, I went out in search of food as soon as I settled at my accommodation.
This place looked inviting in this nice side street, and lucky enough, I got a table outside - I wouldn't have liked to sit inside on a beautiful day like this.
My order was taken by a little bit dreamy waitress, who somehow misunderstood my order (well, I'm not a native Czech, but I have a feeling that maybe she wasn't, either), and she brought me two beers instead of one.
Luckily, by this time, a couple asked me if they can join me at the table which I was occupying on my own, and of course I agreed, and in the end, they also took my extra beer.
In the end, this was handled nicely, and there wasn't even a mixup with the bill, which I was rather expecting.
But no, all was well, and the pizza I had was lovely - delicious, and also, just the right size.
A good experience altogether.

Searching for vegan food options in Cesky, we decided to go with this homely Italian restaurant. We visited in the afternoon to ask if a reservation was needed, which they said was not - although it was pleasantly packed in the evening.
Very kind and welcoming staff that knows their menu and kindly helped us with our vegan and non-vegan selections and suitable wine choices.
Pizza and lasagna were delicious, the restaurant was warm and cozy and the atmosphere lovely.
We left with full bellies and happy faces.

Excellent service, wonderful cuisine. We started with the vegetable soup, perfect for the cold (29* F) night. Delightful, brothy, and vegetal—a lovely light starter for our meal. Lasagne and pizza for the main—-both so delicious. Try the hot chili oil they bring to the table(go easy until you try a taste). We paired with the Cabernet(no name listed) and loved every sip and bite. Okay, now, the dessert…get the MARLENKA. Get two…
This cake was so good I immediately looked up the recipe!
Highly recommend this restaurant.

Nice, cozy place just close to main turistic area of this wonderfull historical city.
I’ve nit expected any high class food nor service as it is usual situation in Czech in historical city areas, where restaurants are typically focused on turists - low quality food and bad service for ovepriced tag ….

we’re group of 6 people …. all totally satisfied with quality of good and super atrentive, fast and profesional service …. pizza was like from another world … absolutelly superb 👍👍👍👍👍
Nice historical building well renovated, with possibility to be served outside as well.

We enjoyed delicious winter vegetables soup, pizza and gluten free pizza. It is really tasty! You gotta try the draft Bud local beer 🍻 And the staff is very friendly and welcoming. Kudos to the Brazilian taking care of us! (I didn’t catch her name )

Do not eat here! Ordered a take-away pizza, as our hotel was right across the street. Went with the salami pizza with mushrooms and a few onions. Opened the box to a disgusting gloppy mess. Dough was completely undercooked, pizza was barely warm. We walked it back over to let them know it was undercooked, and chef become instantly confrontational. Told us this was traditional Napoli pizza (in Czechia). We just spent a month traveling all of Italy, and this was most definitely NOT Napoli pizza. Blamed it on our topping choices. No apologies, no rebake. Sent us on our way. Oh, and she did this while standing outside having her smoke break. Lovely. Went back to our hotel to try to eat any part of it, but couldn't stomach it. Took the uneaten pizza back to the restaurant and told the chef it was inedible. Told us again, we don't know pizza. Unbelievable.

When you are in Cesky Krumlov and you look for sth different then Czech cuisine this is a very good option. Decent pizza, decent pasta for a good price. And beer as good as in Czech restaurants around :)

fantastic pizza close to the monastery. We came here on Recommendation the first night and became a repeat offender. Rarely eaten such good pizza outside of Italy, the dough wonderful.

Honestly I must say that Grandma Gina's pizza is good but it is an unfaithful reproduction of Italian pizza because it is cooked with an electric oven.

We were 2 people. Tables outside were full so we asked the service to book the table, they said they don't do that, but we can wait until somebody leave. We waited, but 5 people came after us, asked the same request, so a while later, when 1 table was available, the service put the reservation sign on that free table, cleaned it and asked the people who came after us to sit down, while looking right at us. When we asked them what happened, they didn't want to talk to us. So arrogant and absolutely unprofessional. So we left, even another table was almost available.
