We enjoyed this little place so much we went back, something we seldom do while traveling. The staff speak good English made suggestions for a true taste of local food and she was spot on. The mushroom had plenty of substance and flavor but I...removed the dill garnish. The green salad with sheep cheese, walnuts and roasted beets was excellent as was the pork belly with mustard and fresh grated horseradish. We had local half and half beer.More

Good food, reasonable price. Tavern looka like. Pork ribs tender and savoury. If there are no tables available, you may need to share a table. Overall, it's good!! worth trying.

the staff was eztremely bored, and the food was average, we expected a little more from the - i think - most famous restaurant of Krumlov. my advice is dont stop here, search for more authentic places, its easy to find.

We were looking for a place that served roast duck - my Bohemian family favorite. We were also pleasantly surprised to find rabbit on the menu, one of my husband's favorite dinners. We ordered a salad for some extra vegies and were served a huge...plate of deliciousness! Nice wines to accompany the food. Had no room for dessert! Waitstaff is friendly, served with a smile. The decor is traditional as well with nice touched of stained glass. There are several rooms, where a family can go if yo have children with you. One has to go up stairs, so it is not a place for those who need help walking.More

Decent lunch of traditional bohemian soup and a pork special. Apple strudel was very good as the dessert of the day. Service was marginal.

We had duck and heart of beef. The duck was very tasty and the heart of the beef very tender. The service is very fast and the restaurant in an old building.

Tasty, traditional Czech dishes. The decor - very simple - refers to the times of Galicia. Fast and nice service. Better to make a reservation.

Every meat dish and mushroom soup of the day were just superb. Even sides like mashed potatoes were done deliciously well.

The duck with rosehip sauce was excellent, as was the dumplings with apricots! Good service, nice interior! Worth a visit! Doesn’t feel too tourist-y between burger and fries restaurants.

This restaurant has got very good mood. The place is a similar to a typical chech pud. The duck in dark beer and the beef cheeks was perfect. The service is fast and polite. So I can offer to everybody, he won’t be disappointed.

My first experience was in Cesky Krumlov where I learned was part of a chain. I had an excellent meal there. Seeing a caricature of a soldier mounted on a window sparked a remembrance of a book I read in the 70’s titled “ A...Good Soldier Schweik “ an anti-war novel based on WW1. Asking the server, my remembrance was correct, I believe I was told the author was from area. The book was later banned prior to the next war. The food was spot on delicious, I had the rabbit and later the beef heart. Here in Pilsen I had beef spatzel on a cold March day and it hit the spot. As it was lunch I kept it simple try to save space for dinner late evening.More

I was there about 6PM on a Saturday in mid-May without reservation. There were plenty of empty tables. Most visitors to Cesky Krumlov were day trippers.
