Located in the center of a busy street in a historic building. The interior includes illustrations from the famous Book of Hasek on the walls and in the form of stained glass windows. Quite cozy, especially in a small room with one table. Very crowded....Decent value for money, although the portions are not very large.More

I don't know what exactly was spoiled the ribs or the ingredients of frying, but it had bad taste. The beer was good :)

In June 2020 unfortunately for them the restaurant was almost empty. Despite this the service was nice, food very good and fast. Recommend the palava white wine for the lovers of semi sweet wine. They even offers vegetarian dish.

There is so many restaurants that it’s pretty hard to find one who do not looks too touristic. This restaurant is the typical traditional one and the atmosphere inside is great!

It is an excellent cz6ech restaurant. For starter and main dish we asked for recommendation: the waitress was "all hands on deck" but really manage to talk and bring the recommendation with a smile. Kuddos to her!! If you are foreigner and come here talk...with the staff. So 5 stars there. Lesser down side was the desert which seemed like scrambled egg with sugar and berries. Really not up to the level. As a wine drinker we truly recommend the moravian rose wineMore

Food was great and place was charming. Seemed very authentic and staff was very friendly (and spoke English). The potato salad was amazing and the veal was great as well.

We ate an early dinner at Svejk. The restaurant was not crowded. They serve excellent Czech food. The beer and food were excellent. The prices were very cheap. They served large portions of food. We ordered one dinner and shared it. We enjoyed the entire...experience. The restaurant was conveniently located.More

Went here for lunch today, came around 12 o’clock without reservation and managed to get a table, 15 minutes later it wasn’t possible anymore... The staff is very efficient and helpful, the menu also in English and German... The food was delicious, especially turkey stuffed...with bacon and plums and rabbit with garlic... Homemade lemonade with added fruit is a must ! We’ll definitely come back!More

Recommended by a local business owner we wandered in for lunch around 1pm on a Friday. We secured the last 2 seats in the house. We ordered a dark and a light beer, duck and beef cheeks. Our food arrived 30 minutes later and it...was tasty, visually appealing and well-portioned. The larger room was filled by mostly locals. The smaller room, near the bathrooms, were filled with tourists. Our server literally took our order in 90 seconds or less. She did not want to answer questions nor did she want to engage. She simply wanted to take our order and get the hell away from us... A transaction not an experience...More

We stayed 4 days in Cesky Krumlov and ended up having dinner for two nights. You might want to book a table for the evening (the deposit is 1000 CZK, but we get it back as soon as we arrived).

I was there about 6PM on a Saturday in mid-May without reservation. There were plenty of empty tables. Most visitors to Cesky Krumlov were day trippers.
