Originally we have just been willing to seat at the river bank of Vltava and have bier after long walking around the city. Then we found the menu and very interesting brochure describing culinary history of the local area since medieval era. Ordering medieval course we have experienced some of those meals. They had nothing to do with haute cuisine,... More

Journey back to the Middle Ages and savor the Old Bohemian Feast shared by a family of 3 adults. We all had our fill. Very interesting experience. We drank wine from an old ceramic cup and ate over an old oak table. Servers dressed in traditional costumes. Owners truly know how to serve traditional Bohemian food. Must-try. No regrets!

Good food at very reasonable prices. The right place to try Czech cuisine. We had grilled carp with potatoes and cabbage, and it great value for money. Service was friendly and fast, and the guy who was serving us spoke very good English.

The restaurant is housed in a historic building, one of the oldest in cesky krumlov and its cuisine is traditional. You can also taste soups, local specialities or drink the famous egenberg beer.

The atmosphere is very peculiar, remanding the medieval age in all its aspects (tables, carpets on the wall, floor..). Food is very nice, (the "old bohemian feast" is recommendable). The service...oh that's the point. The Guy is amazing and very respectful. Unfortunately we were served by the Young Lady: any time she takes an order, she looks at you like... More

Loved the food here and deserves to be number one in the town. We had the venison and the chicken feasts. The dumplings were superb and the price was amazing. Highly recommend this place.

This restaurant was recommended in the Cesky Krumlov brochure we took from the Info Centre and is located in a small street branching off the main street leading from the castle towards the old town square (the first street on the left after crossing the wooden bridge). The restaurant is decorated in old style. The menu is available in multiple... More

A great traditional lunch for the seven of us at a very reasonable price. The restaurant itself is in one of the older buildings in this medieval city! Service was very good with a beautiful view over the river! :-)

Decent food, looks very authentic. My girlfriend had some very tasty fish, the local carp and enjoyed. My chicken was a little cold and not the best so I rate it 3.

A great move - really cool atmosphere in a medieval setting. The staff kindly allowed us in despite having numerous reservations - but be advised it is well recommended so get in early if you do not have a reservation. The food was delicious, served quickly and a fun environment. They accept Euro, serve nice beer and wine. A good... More
