Have visited this pub many times, and always been delighted with the level of service, the menu and the pub itself. There is ample parking (free!), a pretty outdoor area as well as a snug bar and restaurant area. The wine list caters for all price brackets, and the menu has an excellent variety without making you feel overwhelmed with... More

A group of four friends went for lunch today and waited 40 minutes for our food order to be taken. When I asked at the bar why no-one had taken our order I was told that food must be ordered at the bar. This was contrary to our visit two weeks ago when we were handed menus and our food... More

Lovely evening for my birthday, the food was delicious and the staff were so helpful and welcoming. Been back twice since in this same month, one just for desert and drinks in the bar which I will definitely be doing again with the girls!!

I do not know what has gone wrong with this place (perhaps change of management) but it has gone from being able to serve a quality Christmas lunch to being incapable of serving a decent Sunday lunch. They advertise Sunday lunch all day. We booked for 5pm to arrive and be told that they had run out of Chicken (how... More

My husband and l had Sunday lunch here and were sorely disappointed . My husband had pork roast - very small portion of meat, no stuffing, no apple sauce and roasters were soggy. I had chicken with soggy roasters too, undercooked cabbage and carrots and a cold Yorkshire pudding. Cost of meal was 40% dearer then other local restaurants .... More

We decided we fancied a Sunday lunch so thought we would try the bell. We were amazed how quiet it was but it was quite early. On arrival, the blonde girl behind the bar with the tatoos wasn't exactly friendly. We had a coke and a cider and without asking what size we wanted she gave my wife a pint... More

First visit after passing the place on numerous occasions over the years. There was a decent amount of variety on the menu with the food being very nice. Staff were very attentive and helpful, we would definitely visit again in the future.

I came here for an engagement party and what a lovely place, they have a converted barn in which the party was held, a fabulous old building, the only drawback was at present no bar, so we had to go across to the main pub for drinks, a bit of chilly night.

For one of us it was a return visit since the 19sixties.... How things have changed in the hospitality trade...the Beautiful character of the Bell is still there - some where... We arrived just on six o'clock to be greeted by staff that were just on duty...not given a choice of dining room or table as we prefer but ushered... More

Visited the bell for my birthday, have been in the past and generally enjoyed it. Last night was no exception. Our waitress Amy was very pleasant and good at what she was doing. All four of us on the table were extremely satisfied with our food, well cooked and well presented. My only complaint is the ale. When I placed... More
