This was the first time we have eaten here since the café changed hands and we thought it was still very good with lovely decor and good food. The views are fantastic. The lady who served us was very friendly and everything was spotless. Would definitely eat there again.

Walked up from the beach for a lovely lunch of Fish Pie with peas and bread & butter. Perfectly cooked and very good value £7:50. My sister had the all day breakfast which was also perfectly cooked and she said tasted really good. This cost £6. The decor is very clean and fresh with a nautical theme and very inviting.... More

This used to be an outstanding cafe before being taken over by new ownership. It saddens me to say how poor the cafe has become, in particular relation to the food quality. I regularly visit bovisands, and have done for 8 years, it used to be a pleasure to eat in the cafe after a walk along the beach. However,... More

Empty on a windy, sunny March afternoon apart from 2 regulars. Friendly and relaxed. Unbelievable position and views of Plymouth Sound and breakwater.

It's a great cafe with superb views. If you go at the time of year when the parking is free then even better which is I think oct-mar. If you just have simple things like a bacon sarnie, coffee & cake you can't go wrong. Staff friendly and good value for money, I go regularly and always will 😃

This lovely little cafe is not much to look at, however the food is delicious and the service has a very homely, personal feel. The cafe is located on a holiday estate, and in summer there is a charge to park. Out of season, however, parking is free and you are more likely to find a table.

We called in for lunch after walking our dog. My husband had the all day breakfast and I had omelette. Both were cooked to order and were excellent value. There was also a selection of home made cakes which looked lovely. Our dog was welcome in the cafe too which was a bonus. The ladies serving were friendly and helpful.... More

I have been to this cafe on many occasions for the stunning view and my last visit Sunday 6th Nov for breakfast was the most disappointing. The young waitress was pleasant and helpful but the older woman was unwelcoming and got the order wrong. The breakfast was not fresh. Undercooked eggs, cheap sausages that had very little meat in them... More

Visited with my sister and dog whilst out walking coast path. Friendly staff. Ordered soup and roll for lunch with hot drinks. They were busy drinks arrived straight away but it took good half hour for food to arrive. Was very pleasant, worth wait. Reasonably priced. Sat outside in sun and watched world go by. Could have sat inside. Arrived... More

Have visited this venue on more than one occasion now and feel it's going backwards. The food has always been acceptable when with a little more effort could be amazing, I feel the proprietor should venture out to see what the competition is doing rather than fumble along churning out the same generic slop. Sausage cheap and dull, bacon lifeless,... More
