We visited on what was the quiet season at the restaurant, late February, and had a delicious meal, excellent and friendly service in a delightful atmosphere. The moment we entered the door we were warmly greeted by the proprietor and welcomed to the restaurant. The head waiter was attentive and helpful and, most importantly, the food was delicious. Although there... More

First time I have ever been down this part of the world. We also were the first through the door for lunch, the restaurant and toilets are spotless and nice fire lit in the reception. We had a sea view which was nice despite the weather, I had scampi and my partner various fish goujons. Great portions quickly arrived! Lovely... More

Have been quite a few times and have always had great food. Fantastic menu and great value. Staff are friendly and welcoming. I can say I've always enjoyed my meals whatever I have chosen. Would recommend the sea food dishes. Brilliant restaurant for couples dining, family get togethers, birthdays and Christmas. Nice for a coffee or drink too.

Thirteen of us arrived just after 1.30 pm on a Sat afternoon after having our reservation confirmation numbers made early that morning. We were all sat together which was good and it was clear that the staff had arranged the tables so. We were there as part of a classic car run in the area from the North Down and... More

This restaurant (and bar) is a hidden gem and I can honestly say I have never had a bad meal here. Every meal I would classify as totally homemade - I just love visiting Currans of Chapeltown - I just wish it could be more often!
