I've visited here and eaten different meals, and feel it's fair to say that this is a typical chain pub which has a limited menu, but is ok for a cheap meal. Staff are great - really friendly.

Have used the Hare & Hounds for a lunchtime meal with family members a number of times over the last few years and on the whole I have been impressed but I felt that my most recent visit was overshadowed by the fact that the adjacent Wacky Warehouse with its pre booked parties spoilt it as children kept running back... Great place and kids play area is excellent. Clean venue and good menu choice. Good offers and very family friendly. Quick service.
Was here today for Sunday lunch with my family. The grandkids played for an hour first in the fantastic play centre at the back. We booked a table and the very pleasant and helpful Paul called us when our table was available. The food was absolutely delicious with many choices and as it was self service for everything bar the... More
came with the family as we have two little ones. they played for an hour in the wacky warehouse then tired enough to sit and eat peacefully we did so in the restaurant. staff where all lovely and chatted to us and the children. food was good value for money. cant fault it
It has been a few years since we last ate at this "restaurant' but today, with an 87 year old family member decided to revisit. It was nice to see that Erin & the team welcomed us to the restaurant via a chalkboard and that wheelchair access was easy due to the ramp at the front elevation entrance. On reaching... More
At to wait over half hour for main we're was mainly children's meals and 1 adult meal as others was carveries which was told to wait 5 minutes to over half hour deserts main missing and deserts missing and then was gonna put deserts down with mucky plates rather than clear them away
Very good service, friendly staff and lovely food. My son loves the waccy and we go every week.. prefer this one over hare and hounds in menston
Very well prepared food, the food was cooked very well I had chicken newyorker and the chicken wasn't dry what so ever, the staff was very friendly and told us what offers was on and gave us a discount code to use for the little one also it is great value.
Overall this place is tired and could do with a complete make over. Went for Sunday roast which wasn't great and slow service. Food overall was poor, bar service slow and clientele walking about with no shoes on! While I know a wacky warehouse is next door that's still poor. A lot of scuffers were also in eating with fat... Couldn't agree more with T J.
Using the phrase "Team Hare & Hounds" suggests to me that you are employed there?
Clearly your dining experience is very limited if you rate this or in fact any other Fayre & Square as 5*.
The H&H should be sold on to a company that knows how to grow a business it is in a very prominent location and has had planning permission for a hotel, unfortunately Spirit Pub Company do not have the calibre of management ( I refer to so called BDMs Business DEVELOPMENT Managers) to take it forward...Fact!
You dismiss our concerns and attack our motives yet we all know the price of our meals are indicative of the expected quality. This price is not van on side of the motorway lorry drivers grub prices yet the food is far worse. Maybe you have differing standards to most of the negative commenter's? You say we get what we pay for but i do not agree in the case of this carvery. I have been to many carverys and they were cheaper than here yet the food was more edible and staff were far better trained (without the abuse and attitude, the sweaty armpits and greasy unkempt hair)! maybe that is your cup of tea in life but obviously its not ours so why comment on our honest reviews? is it because you are staff? This place is a dive and i think its disgusting, dirty and the staff are common individuals with low standards in life which clearly affect the profits. i have a lot of experience in the hospitality trade including silver service training many years ago and believe me i would love to get my hands on this place and show these under par staff how a restaurant should be run. my question to you is, seeing as you think its 5 star already does this mean you actually think there is zero room for improvement in this place? Do you think it is a one off that the place including the babies high chairs smeared with what i think was mash potato was just a one off and if i go in tomorrow will there be a miraculous improvement and will the food will be warm and not slop over stewed tasteless mush? im thinking i will take myself back there to do a fresh review of this place where i will photograph all of the issues in there is there a certain day which is better than others?
