Friends came with us on our recommendation for lunch here. Our drinks order was taken fairly quickly but nothing came. We then had to ask for our food order to be taken. Finally the drinks were served and then our main courses were brought to table before our starters had been served!! We received an apology for this, a huge... More

Had a lovely evening here, food was lovely and service was brilliant. Having eaten at some other higher market restaurants I have to say iv eaten nicer food for less. So I would say for the quality of the food served they are over priced. Also I would say dishes are over seasoned.

Taken straight to our table and told what the specials were. Wide but fairly standard range of food on the well presented menu each with a bit of a twist. My wife and I both chose the Scotch egg and very nice it was too - good flavours, crisp coat and runny yolk. The bream was a small portion, well... More

Web were in the area visiting a garden, and then looking for somewhere for a spot of lunch. Trip Advisor suggested the Red Lion. We arrived around 12.30pm not having booked. A warm welcoming atmosphere and very good staff who were able to find a table for two. My wife chose the chorizo and prawn linguine, and I had the roast beef.... More

This was a Michelin pub guide pick and they normally never fail and this was no different. We were a little worried when there was no visible Sunday lunch offering but we were hugely relieved when our waitress advised us there was a choice of either Beef or Turkey...hurrah! One down side is that they don't offer and couldn't make... More
