If you are looking for traditional Village Fayre in a Quiet rural location then The Watermill is a great venue. Good Service, plenty of Menu choice all at good village prices. Well worth seeking out and a good all round experience.

In response to your comments regarding my recent review, the 'doom and gloom' comment is your words not mine and far from the truth. Read the review again and you will see here were more positive comments than negative ones: - delightful village -prominently positioned -good parking -I made it clear that our disappointment was due to the weather and no fault of yours -restaurant was busy so it was understandable that service was affected -portions were good -price of food & drinks both reasonable - title of review 'worth another visit' says it all not forgetting I underlined this with either visits in winter or summer! Clearly, you overreacted by posting your 'gloom & doom' comment. Moving on ... The reasonable 'mixed quality' quality comment referred to two issues: - the chicken pie's crust was hard, burnt & dry whilst the contents were considered sparse. -steak pie ordered but mousaka delivered by mistake. You may appreciate that none of these 'mixed quality' issues were actually elaborated in my review and I did counter any perceived negativity by recommending the mini-platter!! I trust that, having read my review again, you will not see it as 'doom & gloom" but constructive feedback Jim A
