The reviews were not wrong. The food was great, we had baby goat chops cooked in wood smoke oven and grilled sword fish. Each meal came with vegetables which makes a nice change and we also ordered a side of grilled vegetables, the tomatoes in particular had so much flavour. The Ronda tempranillo was superb. Try the charcoal salt! We... More

Tried this for lunch reading the other reviews. It is a lovely place and we had really superb service from a very friendly waiter, but sadly the food was disappointing. We had the menu of the day, and it was average at best. We didn't stay for pudding and coffee, as we'd had enough by then. At least it wasn't... More

Just what the waiter who served us said and was. A real find. We got the menu del dio. 14 euros but you have to ask for it and we got the most amazing soup, bean chorizo onion and tomato, it was enough for a meal on its own but I had swordfish and my wife a grilled park dish... More

Personal service from the owner! Iberian pork is to die for. Had two huge salads and the loin plus four glasses of outstanding Ronda wine for, wait for it, 44 euros. Great place in every regard. It's like 30 steps from the San Gabriel Hotel.

We picked this place based on the TripAdvisor reviews. It proved to be a good choice. Most of us went with the menu de dia. It was a good value. If you really want to live it up they have some truly indulgent tasting menus. The focus here is on meats grilled over an open fire. It's a nice change... More

A good location just a little off the beaten track and, consequently quiet. The food was first class and delivered without fuss. The service was friendly and casual. We ate a late lunch and never felt any pressure to move on. A very pleasureable stop during a trip around Ronda adding great flavour.

Friendly staff providing excellent service without being pushy. Service was quick and food top notch. Wide choice of food ranging from traditional tapas to full blown meals. Waiter recommended using black carbonated salt opposed to white salt which added an extra dimension to the food. Limited English but sufficient to get by even the head chef was able to say... More

Totally accommodating. Sit inside or out. Old world ambiance but modern service The wood burning overs produce great meats and a soup steeped for 10-12 hours. Prices are reasonable and you will enjoy the experience.

The restaurant is attractively tucked away in the corner of a plaza in the old town in a very nice setting. The staff are incredibly helpful and courteous. The food was very enjoyable yet we had only ordered a simple selection of tapas. A nice touch were the free mushrooms pre meal and the free bottled water post meal to... More

Located at the very heart of the historic center of ronda next to the real colegiata de santa maria la mayor. Our speciality is meats grilled in a wood burning oven. Non stop cooking. Our day off is on wednesday. In winter we close also tuesday night.
