We came here for lunch. I absolutely recommend the place as the food was excellent, the oxtail and the suckling pig were to die for. The gazpacho and the paella were excellent, one of the best we had in Spain.

Strolling through Ronda we came across a delightful restaurant which looked elegant. However, after the waiters arrogance and ignorance we soon came to the conclusion this was becoming a nightmare type experience. As starters arrived I soon realised the food was out dated and lacked standardisation. Mains was chicken and swordfish. Chicken over cooked and dry, swordfish was not fresh... More

We had the misfortune of stopping here for lunch on our way to Sevilla. When we inquired about the food (specifically soup), they basically told us it is what it is. What we wanted to know was whether it was cream or broth. As they spoke good English, I know Spanish, it was not a communications issue. I asked if... More

A friendly, quiet, large and comfortable restaurant which is also a hotel with access from main street (Virgen de la Paz) as well as outside seating at the back. Large portions and recommend the bean and sausage starter, Iberian pork sirloin, house tomato soup

It was cold outside and we needed some rest and warm food. Food was fine. Nothing special, but tasty enough for to be satisfied with lunch.

We were in Ronda not in season. We had list of restaurants with good reviews, but they were either closed for vacation or restoration. The day before we randomly walked in another restaurant Hermanos Mac - and it was wonderful. We decided we could do it again in Don Javier. It was real mistake - service was extremely slow (it... My wife and I visited with our 11 month old baby. We were enticed in by a waiter who said they do all sorts including tapas, so thought they would be able to rustle up some plain cod and broccoli for our boy, and we wanted soup as it was cold and wet. We asked the waiter for a small... More

Wow - I read some of the negative reviews on this place and this was NOT our experience at all! The weather in Ronda was terrible while we there and this excellent restaurant was right next to our Hotel Plaza de Toros. We ducked in out of the rain and had such a good meal that we returned a second... More

Traditional restaurant in historic part of town . Has external terrace too. Looks very pleasant but a very average experience. There are much better places in close proximity
