Anyone complaining about the price doesn't know good food.

When you compare the quality and refinement of the dishes to the price they ask it's almost rediculously cheap, anyone who doesn't recognize that should stick to McDonalds. The food is so good you'd consider getting placed back in the Matrix for it. The wine is also top-notch and the only point of criticism would be the temperature inside. Somehow it's a bit chilly inside.

Tartar with marrowbone was delicious. Fried pig ears were quite interesting, marinated salmon was also fine, but the portion is tiny. The service was very nice and fast, I would surely recommend this place.

Incredible experience! The combinations was amazing. Tapas was jus awsome. Squids filled with morcilla? Wonderful! Fresh salmon marinated in lime sauce with caviar! Perfect! and many many more delicious meals - portions a little smal but if you understand the idea of fusion you do not complain. Great and very fas service!!

Overrated and a rip-off

Disappointing and culinarily clumsy. Fried pigs ears were tasty but otherwise it was all mediocre - a very salty, mushy bean stew with a couple of lumps of sausage, followed by duck breast (again very salty) in a vaguely Asian sauce, and pork loin with vegetables, wok-style, with a very similar sauce. The server pushed us to order a wine twice the price of the one we originally wanted, which we know and like, telling us it was exceptionally balanced, her favorite, etc., only to confess at the end of the meal, when we suggested she treat herself to a glass from our unfinished bottle (we didn’t like it) after her service, that she didn’t drink alcohol and had never tasted the wine... Really not cool, and presumably a reflection of her management’s instructions.

Poor QC and Over priced!

I was there for tapas after 2 on a very rainy day in Ronda. The 3 tapas I ordered arrived individually. The first was a cube (1.5x1.5x1.5”) of totally raw salmon with some lime shavings on top. It was perfectly fresh and tasty! The next was a good looking spicy fried squid sandwich. 3/4 of the 5” sandwich bun had nothing inside! A few tiniest tentacles placed at one end was all there was. I was alarmed. The last tapa was a pork cheek open-face sandwich with a piece of burned cheese on top to make it look like the top part of a bun. I was still hungry but afraid to order any more from them. All these, with a very small glass of beer, costed 13€ before tips.

Houda was like Houdini! Made our experience magic.

Our server Houda, suggested 3 out of our 4 dishes and she was spot on with each one. She recommended the Bone Marrow(our first time trying it) and it was absolutely stunning. She recommended the flan dessert(we are not fans) but after today, we are! The atmosphere was buzzing, the wine was good, server was knowledgeable and the food was outstanding. What more could you ask for a place?

Check prices and size of meals!

The first waiter told us there was an hour queue, despite there being empty tables. We asked another waiter who said it was no problem and we were seated straight away - not sure what that was about!? I should stress that the food was beautiful - our main warning to other diners would be over checking the pricing and make sure the servers agree with you before you order. My husband (who is gluten free) could only eat two mains: goat and beef steak, which was €30 with no sides. We asked for the 300g (smallest size) as we had starters. When it arrived it was HUGE so we queried it and were told that it was the smallest one they had but it would be the same price. This was not reflected in the bill, where we were charged $42. I suggested that they need to tell people at the point of ordering what the price is, as otherwise the menu misrepresents it and most people don’t expect a main to cost that much! The waiter (who did not know that I speak Spanish!) tried to say that this was clear on the menu, but it absolutely isn’t (I checked both translations). A shame as the food was great but we left feeling sad that we had to squabble over the bill at the end and the service made us feel like we had not been welcome.

Don't expect boring Tapas

Nice small restaurant and bar. It was a last minute recommendation by a sister restaurant that is a Michelin star award winner. The food is more creative than your normal restaurant so for some it may be too much. It is well presented and had great flavor. Service was also very good, especially since it is located in a very touristy area. One of our party of 3 had some of the best beef they have ever had. That person is a recovering vegetarian!

A disappointment

We expected much more from a site, which we remembered in its previous version with much more freshness. Although the treatment and service is friendly at all times, they are somewhat overwhelmed by growing demand. The food was generally good, but some portions were ridiculous compared to the price of the dish. Price, therefore, exaggerated. I don't recommend it, sorry.

Great food, sketchy service

Not quite up to the hype the chef owner carries - good food, but service very sketchy. A nice place, though uncomfortable high seated tables, but nicely laid out. Initial welcome was good and a couple of glasses of local red wine were promptly served. Ordered our food, the 'starters' of which we had expected to come kind of together so we could share, but didn't - in fact quite long gaps between them, and then clearly they had forgotten the third one which we had to chase up (then even longer wait). All very tasty though - extremely!! What is odd is that we saw several other tables with multiple plates coming at once. Maybe we had to specify that. The mains were superb, me going for the tartare and bone marrow which is honestly one of the nicest things I have eaten. Finishing off, daughter decided to have a pudding so we ordered another couple of glasses of wine whilst she finished off. They didn't arrive. Chased another waiter, they didn't arrive. Then chased first waitress again and she looked at us like she'd never seen us before (despite her taking first order for wine). It eventually arrived. It's great food here, truly great, but the waiting service is very haphazard and communication is clearly breaking down too much.

Superb. ingredients, cooking and service!!!

The 8 people who did not like this restaurant do not know good quality ingredients and good cooking. The previous reviewer who mentioned Houda was spot on, she is great! The chef and his team are like a machine from starters to desserts! We stayed in Ronda 3 nights and went here twice. The meat is extraordinary baby kid suckling pork and beef. My wife hates cooked cheese cake but had it both nights. My advice is to book for 20.00 inside(at this time of year) but if not the wait is worth it! Many congratulations to all the staff and the owner. La famillla

The pleasure of cooking by Benito Gomez

Benito Gomez is a famous chef, owner of a well-known two-star restaurant in Ronda. For our pleasure he also opened this bistro where we could enjoy his art in the kitchen, at prices accessible to all. Informal, innovative and, one might even say, elegant environment. Professionalism of the staff at the top, both in the choice of dishes and in the accompaniment with wines. And also in the mastery of the English language (which is not exactly common in Andalusia). To start, their version of the salmorejo is extraordinary, that is the bomba crujiente de salmorejo picante y ventresca en aceite, to be enjoyed all in one go, as are the red tuna tacos. On the paper it is written that their callos de ternera (which we Italians call "tripe") won the best callos del mundo 2023 award. Congratulations! The fried lubina (seabass or sea bass in Italian) with Asian wings, cilandro and jalapeno is amazing. The desserts are also top notch: we chose the "nuestro flan" and "fruta de la pasion, coco y menta". Wines: oloroso sherry and palo cortado to start, then a glass of red wine from Ronda called Encaste which we would define as superb, the white instead (excellent and always from Ronda) was called Cloe. Sweet wine for dessert at the same level as the others. And then the final surprise. Benito Gomez, present in the restaurant, came to greet us at the table. A great pleasure for a dinner to remember!

Top Notch Tragata 😋

We managed to get in for lunch and boy it was utterly fantastic. We had the home made Croquets, Smoked Sardine and the Tuna Taco to start and each of these entrée’s were sublime. Shoulder of Goat and Beef Cutlets for our mains and you know why its got a Michelin Star. All washed down with a bottle of Albariño and some Congas, €114 Euros for a lunch fit for Rock Stars, 😎🎸what’s not to like. We left a big tip too and here’s one for you, just go 👍

Best Service, Best Food, Best Atmosphere Well I guess it stands to reason as this vibey modern take on a tapes bar + full restaurant menu is the sister of the 2 star Michelin Bardel ( also in Ronda ) Staff were adorable; I had tripped in the street and they put my foot up on a cushion with ice = 10 ****** service imo, as they had just opened the doors at the time and were mobbed with bookings - YOU MUST BOOK ppl. Respect the craft. Funky large tapas servicing to share; large mains and a sumptuous meat mains selection. Obvs XO wine section also. Luv you guys.

A Wonderful Food Treat!

A 2-star chef opened a second casual restaurant on a side street in Ronda. The food was divine. We had smoked sardines, raf tomato with mint, and grilled Iberico pork with green peppercorn sauce. The restaurant immediately filled up when it opened in the evening, and the service was a little chaotic, but the staff was pleasant and corrected any missteps. The food was the reason to go. I highly recommend it.
