Perfect breakfast or lunch spot with a kickass view of great surf. Reasonable prices and great bloody marys...freshly made..not premixed! Puntas has the very best character in the town of Rincon. The wait staff is second to none, especially Melissa she's awesome

We had read good reviews and were looking forward to trying a place close by. We arrived close to the end of breakfast and the waiter was legit rude. When the food came out, the toast burnt and the third friend never got his pancakes....Bloody Mary's were poorly seasoned. We finally asked if we could see the lunch menu and he was disgruntled and never even brought them over. It was just disappointing and a harsh contrast to all the delicious food we have had in Rincon.More

Just had a wonderful dinner at the Island House Restaurant...fresh grilled tuna, cooked exactly as ordered, with scrumptious Asian vegetables. A delicious and healthy meal prepared by Chef Julien Swanson.

Just finished up a wonderful week at Rincon. Rented a house with friends. Visited a lot of the local restaurants and had breakfast twice at the Island House. The food was acceptable but nothing great. Went for a beach walk the last morning. My wife...needed to use the restroom as we walked past the Island House on the way home. No one was in the restaurant. The waiter was someone who had waited on us during the week. She rinsed her feet and asked if she could use the restroom. "Guests only" came the curt reply. Certainly within their rights. Already booking next year and Island House is off our list.More

I recently had breakfast here. The potatoes were delicious and plentiful the eggs and sausages cooked to perfection. While looking at the best view in Rincon. Totally recommend ! I believe breakfast ends at 12 PM .

We had trouble with service from the minute we arrived, including a long wait to be welcomed, then seated, then greeted at the table, then to have our order taken. The wait staff was not very friendly. We had two sandwiches, and they both tasted...great. The price would have been decent had the whole picture come together, but it was not worth it in the end.More

Pros: food is good, very solid. Went there for lunch this past week with three others, Ordered a Rachel, Italian sub, Philly Chicken sandwich and a Philly Steak sandwich. Meats were top quality and all lunches were very, very good. Served with a side....we had...cole slaw which had mixed reviews. Our server was excellent. The outside porch is lovely and being able to sit next to the ocean is special. Cons: Parking is a disaster. We went once before and had to leave because there was absolutely no place to park. The parking lot serves several businesses and surfers, so spaces are at a premium. This time we were able to find a spot out on the street. There's really nothing the restaurant can do about this, but I'm just letting prospective diners know up front. We found the service to be slow. The server let us know that there had been a large take out order and that's why our food wasn't out in a timely manner. This is a restaurant we will definitely return to. Love the Boars Head cold cuts and delicious sandwiches, the atmosphere, and the whole vibe. Definitely recommend!More

Great salads, sandwiches and peel and eat shrimp while looking at the ocean. The staff was friendly and professional. The tropical drinks were delicious and potent...I took a nice long nap on the beach after a few rum punches!

I guess I expected something more than an average american breakfast considering I was in Rincon, Puerto Rico. The surrounding area has numerous awesome places to eat but we were disappointed in this place. To be fair, maybe they had awesome lunches and dinners but...after the breakfast, we didnt want to try this place again since there are so many other options to pick from. After a beautiful walk along the beach to get there, we started with a Bloody Mary (hey, we were on vacation!). It was a very boring pre-mix drink with two little olives. We both ordered a breakfast wrap which were just ok in taste and presentation. Everything was very lacking in salt! The service was also just ok. To be honest, our server acted like he would rather be doing anything else in the world besides waiting on yet another tourist. We were never able to get a smile or a polite word out of him no matter how hard we tried.More

Let me start by saying that you need a GPS to find this place and even then it won't get you right there. Stop at the surf shop and they'll direct you. It's also called Casa Islena Inn and Restaurant. You sit on the patio...overlooking the ocean and feel like you're back in the 60's. Lots of surfer dudes around and there is a yoga studio across the parking lot! The place is really friendly. We went for breakfast which was fine. Good homemade sausage and strawberry pancakes. Coffee was good, too. After you eat, walk down on the beach and watch the surfers on the turquoise ocean.More

Located at the Casa Isleña guest house (Island house in Spanish, clever!) they have one of the best Classic American breakfasts around. In the afternoon they switch over to lunch and have great baguettes that are baked every day, homemade meatballs and marinara and some...awesome peel and eat shrimp. Behind the bar Ryan and Jim Behr do an awesome job of keeping you entertained while drink the biggest rum punch you can get in Rincon or an ice cold medalla. One of the nicest things about the island house is the beautiful location, literally on the beach, you can walk out to the beach, get your feet wet or go for a swim and then come back and get your food. Kids can play out on the sand and stay entertained and parents can have a peaceful lunch or dinner. Prices are low for the quality of the food and portions are very generous. Highly highly recommended.More

Food was very good and good portion size. Average variety on menu....I would've liked to have seen a few more items inspired by the locals. The bar is nice, good bloody marys...wish it stayed open later!!
