If you're looking for local food, Red Flamboyant is a great place to eat. All of our appetizers and entrees were delicious. They make a mofongo with a mix of yucca, sweet plantains and green plantains that is incredibly unique. As with so many places in Puerto Rico, the service, while very friendly and courteous, was a bit slow. But,... More

We love The Red Flamboyan! The service is courteous and efficient-consistently. We are neighbors and eat there frequently. The food is always great. I particularly enjoy Salmorejo (Crab Meat) with Arroz mamposteado. The cuisine features typical Puerto Rican dished----not simply Rice and Beans.

Very casual, delicious, local restaurant that I would recommend. Everything we ordered was very good. The previous reviews about mosquito problem and slow service were not seen and nonexistent. Service was great and if you go out to dinner at night there may be a mosquito or moth. Go and enjoy the best of Puerto Rican cuisine.

This unassuming, hard to find restaurant has excellent, inventive food with an emphasis on Puerto Rican ingredients. I've eaten there twice over the past few years. Service is slow as other reviewers noted. Considering the freshness of the food, I don't think that the chef emphasizes speed over made-to-order.

This is definitely one of the best restaurants in Rincón. The food was awesome, the drinks were great, the coquíes were serenading us the entire time.

Food was good, but could've been better. My boyfriend and I sat down at 8:05 for dinner and by the time dinner was over, it was almost 10:00. The waitress was very nice and the atmosphere was great. Indoor / outdoor seating, we sat outside to enjoy the breeze. We had the shrimp ceviche for an app which was yummy... More

My husband and I went to eat there on a sunday afternoon. Not many people in the restaurant. My husband ordered a seafood stuffed mofongo and I ordered baked fish. Food had no Puerto Rican taste, it was lacking our local flavor. The mofongo sauce was a light pink instead of a red tomatoe color. In our opinion it was... More

This is the better place that we went in Rincon. Excellent service, excellent food, excellent price. In three times that I went we have a new experience. I'll be back.

My boyfriend and I were staying in Rincón for the Rincón International Film Festival. One night we decided to try Red Flamboyan and was very surprised. Being completely honest I did not think much of the place, it was simple, open air, down to earth place; I was even a bit skeptical when I saw the prices on the menu... More

My girlfriend and I had dinner here while in Rincon, despite what I've read on here our wait times were manageable and the mosquitos were bearable. I ordered the seafood stew which was really good but some of the pieces were overcooked, the portion was more than enough. My girlfriend had the pork chop which was absolutely massive, I'm not...
