Getting to the English Rose was quite interesting. But it was worth the ride. Everything was perfect! To start with the view is truly outstanding. The food and service were equally as good. If ever in the Rincon area it is truly a great breakfast...experience to go to the English Rose.More

The last half mile is a narrow road not for the skittish but worth the effort. Beautiful view of the sea, airy and bright. Food was excellent. Fruit was fresh as were the juices. We had French toast (Elvis), ranchero eggs and pancakes (for the...kids). Everything was well cooked and tasty. Left with a full belly ready the beach. Service was friendly and attentive. Will return soon.More

Interesting choices, delicious and the Virgin Marys are the best, spicy and different. Spent three mornings at this unique scenic spot. Give yourself a treat and visit the next time in Rincon.

Only open for breakfast/brunch as far as I know. It's a B&B too but we did not stay here. Fun drive up a hillside to the Rose. Menu is what you might expect from the name with local additions. I had the Florence Ruby -...Eggs Benedict on a croissant with curry hollandaise. Very good. The Rose fills up so make a reservation and ask for a table on the porch that overlooks the ocean - a beautiful view. Surprisingly, no espresso maker so coffee is Americano only.More

We spend a week to 10 days in Rincon during the holidays each year. Typically, we stay in a guest house that includes (an excellent) breakfast in their room rate. This year, we opted to rent a small apartment and looked forward to breakfast out....The English Rose was one place that we really wanted to try. We've heard about it for years, but not had the opportunity to go. So, on our first day in Rincon, my partner called to see if we could get reservations the following morning. We learned that the restaurant was booked that next morning, but we could have gone any day during the remainder of the week. Unfortunately, the man who took the call was so rude and condescending that my partner REFUSED to consider going to the English Rose. I asked about it several times later in the week, and he said that he had no interest in going. Seems like the exact opposite of good customer service.More

Food was irregular. Prix fixe menu, very expensive. Our 2 soups were too garlicky, didnt finish them. Steak was good, fish was fresh, but underwhelming. Service was very good.

Brunch here is worth the (short but steep) drive for the beautiful view and fact that the staff treats you like you are a favorite cousin returning for a visit. Reservations were easy to get, but you will need one because the space is limited....This was one of our favorite experiences while in Rincon.More

What a delicious breakfast/ brunch spot overlooking the ocean and the jungle below. The food was perfectly prepared and the best spot around for a Bloody Mary and Mimosas!

The restaurant is very busy. They have a lot of chairs. If that makes you pet nervous, just be aware of it. The wait staff will be walking close to and around the chairs and tables, if your pet is large it may cause foot... More
