We were extremely impressed with the flavor, freshness, and originality of the menu at Roots. Our meals included sensational goat cheese balls and an outstanding shrimp Lo Mein noodle dish. The service was perfect on the Wednesday night we were there. It took a little waiting and polite nudging the next night, when the streets were filled with the ArtWalk across the street in the plaza, but after that we got very good service. INSIDER TIP: The outdoor tables might look filled, but if you're there to eat dinner, they'll ask those who are not dining to move from the outdoor tables so you can sit and enjoy your meal. Strongly reccomend this place for an unforgettable dinner in the heart of downtown Rincon.

Have you ever walked by a place and saw a bunch of people having a good time and thought "I need to get in on that there action?" Well, this was us in Rincon. We were actually on our way to another restaurant and saw all the people having fun at Roots and decided to stop. So fun! Great drinks and shots (try the Pistachio shot). I wasn't hungry but my husband was. He really wanted chicken and the kids menu was the only thing that had chicken dishes. They allowed him to order off the kids menu and they delivered this glorious chicken skewers and rice and beans. It was beautiful and delicious. But the vibe of this place is contagious! I hope you feel the same when you visit.

We had a party of four for a fairly early dinner and were quite pleased with each menu selection. Lamb chops were enjoyed by two and the other choices were also tasty. Service was competent and courteous. This is not a place to look for cheap food - it's a bit pricey. but we found it worth the cost and enjoyed the atmosphere.

Came here for my birthday and received the worst treatment. When we were served at last minute they let us know they did not have an ingredient for one of the plates, my friend ended up leaving without eating because of such short notice. Another one of the plates was cold and they still charged it because he said he put his finger in and was hot. When we tried to talk with the owner he did not even listen and just walked away.

I have frequented this place many times and the restaurant has delivered great service and awesome food in the past, But, I brought a group today here and it was truly one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. We sat at 630 and ended up asking the waitress for our check and food to go at 830 since we had still not received any of the main courses. We watched as the dinner bell hit and hit and the drinks piled up on the bar and it seemed the place was woefully understaffed or that they didn’t care. If food was taking this long, would have appreciated the heads up, but lack of communication and watching drinks stack up to be delivered to tables showed this place was very poorly ran. The restrooms were disgusting and got worse every time i visited throughout the night.
I’ve seen this restaurant be great - the chef usually is incredible and the atmosphere is great (even during Covid) but, it just seemed like no one gave a crap and it was just a huge bummer. I raved about this place for weeks and it just seemed like a completely different restaurant. I’m gonna definitely give this place another chance and want to amend this review. Please get it together! This place is awesome at it its best!

And as I can see not in good hands. I feel responsible for your experience that should never be that way please comunícate with me 7876855669 I’m willing to give u a dinner. As this is a new found restaurant in Rincon, we decided to support a local concept. We had many illusions and expectations as well as excitement. This being said, as we entered restaurant we got an unexpected, disappointed, and horrible service, quality, and overall amusement. Firstly, the waiter, he was dry, rough, and un professional service. The food which we thought it was bizarre arrived in less then 5 minutes. We ordered a burrata which me and my fellow friends that were with me have traveled and experienced many different flavors, textures, and amazing quality burratas. When the presentation and order was delivered, within less then 5 minutes the presentation looked like it would take 10 to 20 minutes. Immediately we got swamped by this disgusting, humiliated smell. As we cut though it it was not googy, creamy, or even soft, like a normal burrata. We each cut a piece and bite into it. It was the most disgusting burrata we have ever eaten because it was extremely expired. I got up and gave my input about the damage burrata since it was not edible, I came with a peaceful and opinion based imput. The owner came out and started screaming creating this horrible ambiance and extremely felt disintegrated, he proceeded to kick us out and never come back again . I do not and repeat do not recommend this place by any means there are so many beautiful places in Rincon to visit and this is not one.

Great happy hour spot! Next time, I'll try a different cocktail, as the Electric Lemonade was too sweet for me....but there's enty to choose from. The appetizer deals are a steal, and both the pad thai and the lo mein were delicious.

Went there the first night of our vacation and the food was awsome. Loved the fried goat cheese balls and Filet. However we came back with 11 of us and the food was very disapointing. Goat cheese balls were stil very good though.

Great deal at happy hour here, with very good tapas style dishes. I agree with the trendier review that says the blue Leonard lemonade was too sweet. Other than that we had a great time here, and the bartender was very nice. I would definitely go back

What a great place to visit . It's like going to the beach without an actual beach nearby . Service was excellent and the food was awesome and fresh . We all loved the way the place set up . The music was a little loud ( we had trouble hearing the waiters recomendations ) and the chairs were a little unconfortable but we will definitly visit them again .

When ton have drinks with my wife. Big sign outside said mojitos $6.50. Get a table have a few appetizers ordered 5 mojitos. When ask for the bill they charge me $9. I ask waitress saud happy hour is at the bar, not the tables. Little detail she forgot to mention😡

Waited outside to come in for a hour told that when some one leaves, we’ll be next. Wouldn’t even take a name down. When told we could enter, sat down only to be told they ran out of everything even though we showed an hour after they opened. Young lady was clueless. Thanks.

Sorry for your experience, for the administration this are very bad news. We are a family oriented business and the girl you are talking about she is only 15 years old. Because the covid 19 situation we are taking reservations only. But this is not a excuse for your treat in puerto rico now the capacity for a restaurant is only 25% thanks for your review we would be taking better measurement to accommodate our costumers. Hopefully we would see you again.

Martini night is the night to go ..Not too busy in town. You might even find easy parking. Nevertheless. The lamb chops ate by far the best in Rincon. The price is good. Drinks are good. Service is good. Other menu items are good. A relaxing dinner with my wife and all is good in the world. Give it a visit.

Roots is all around wonderful! The food is always amazing! Delicious fresh and great menu choices. I also love the ambiance! :) Beautiful setting for couples or friends. The drinks are amazing as well. Service is always A+ -- accommodating and friendly. Excellent choice!

This place is awesome and very comfy, although the music doesn’t go with the vibe of the place. I would like a little more dishes I could order, the food was tasty and our waitress was very kind
