Had flounder, steak which were both cooked perfectly. I really came for some oysters which were also nice and fresh but a little disappointed with the price. I regularly pay less in central Auckland - these are local oysters... Perhaps supply was limited at the time. Good range of beer, all round great meal but heading towards overpriced.

The best food on Waiheke is served at the vineyards but these tend to be expensive and some are more suited to lunch. Oyster Inn is probably the best restaurant in Oneroa. Food, wine and service is good and the deck has a great view. Book ahead - particularly if you want a table on the deck.

We enjoyed our meal at this establishment, but found it overblown and on the expensive side. It seems that it's prices are 'par for the course' on Waiheke Island.

We went on a fantastic day and sat on the veranda. The menu itself did not inspire us to the point that we were not going to go there. We did go and the food and ambience was excellent. I would like to see some better options for the main menu. However, the location is very good and makes up... More

Came here with a group of friends (9 in total). The food was nice, but very simple for the prices we paid. I would have liked the fish and chips to be a little bit fancier and the macaroni and cheese was just like a basic one you would make at home. They mucked up our drink orders a couple... More

Service was OK, the food was functional but uninspiring, considering the prices you are paying. You're basically paying for the view, so make the most of it. Or go to a winery instead.

We really enjoyed the food and drink. We couldn't see the view as we were seated behind a barrier even though the place was nearly empty inside. I imagine the preference was to seat us by the door for the breeze? Nevertheless, oysters right up there with the best we have ever had! Everything we ate was really great! Wait... More

Very good oysters, and great outside balcony seating. Staff very helpful and knowledgeable about the local cuisine. Food in general was very good. First time I have had gurnard and would recommend. Our hotel must have informed them we had been married that day so we got a free glass of fizz there. Nothing special but a nice touch nonetheless.... More

We went here with friends who live on the island. Although I had never tried Oysters before, I was persuaded to try the local fresh ones and was really pleasantly surprised how lovely they were. We also had the local fish and hot chips which were delicious too. The staff were charming and very attentive. We ate breakfast here a... More

Maybe it's just that it was a Friday night, but the restaurant didn't seem to be handle a full house both in terms of quality of food and reasonable promptness of service. The fish (tuna) was dry. Nice atmosphere though, and the service was apologetic of the delays.
