Salt is a bit of an anachronism: finer dining in typically rustic mountain country. But it is a nice change from the good steak and Mexican restaurants in town. We dined with old friends midweek and thoroughly enjoyed both the conversation and the food. The server did not hover or rush us, in fact we were almost the last to... More

Arrived 6:45pm, I mentioned to my wife that we picked a good time for dinner because the place was not very busy, We ordered (2) beers, server came back and told us that they ran out of the beer we chose. Wife & I never ate pork bellies so we ordered the pork belly appetizer which basically was 4 pieces... More

I have to say I have always had a wonderful meal at Salt. The service is good and the menu has great options. If you want a nice bottle of wine and a few appetizers they have very good selections. If you want a classy dinner there is that too.

This was one of the best meals I have had in quite a long time. The service was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and well presented. Bravo to chef Jake and our server Elizabeth.

We went based upon the strong reviews we read. It was January, and I wish I'd worn a heavier shirt because it was kept too cold inside. The basket of bread we were served was a different type of bread that we did not care for. My wife ordered a short rib appetizer that was only fair at best. I... More

Our first visit to Salt Restaurant & Wine Bar was just over one year ago. At that time, we thought it was the best restaurant in the White Mountains. Our most recent visit confirmed that it still is the best restaurant in the White Mountains. On this cold November night, our welcome was warm and inviting. Salt is an attractive... More

Extremely slow service and overpriced. We found the portions to be somewhat small although the menu was ? unique?

I enjoyed a light meal at the bar. Very nice selection of wines not seen elsewhere. Had the pot belly appetizer. Very good, small but rich so it was more than adequate. A good date night place.
