We went here for a birthday lunch. There were 20 of us so we had the set menu. All the meals were amazing. Staff were lovely and friendly. Service was excellent. First time I have been here but would definitely go again. Beautiful panoramic views while you eat. Fantastic day.

Had the pleasure of having lunch with my daughter at this restaurant on the outskirts of Mudgee (Robert Stein Winery). We had the $55 taste menu where you get a choice of six dishes to share. If there is a dish you don't think you will like the staff are happy to replace it with another choice. The beetroot dip... More

After a not so nice experience years ago we went to Pumphouse to celebrate a friends birthday. Because it was a table of 8 we decided to go degustation and were very glad we did.We opted for the middle priced one with 8 courses which as $75 pp. Every course was enjoyable but i dont think we needed 8 courses.... My partner and I went for lunch and ordered the $75 a person set menu the food is some of the best I've had anywhere in the world the gnocchi is smokey and full of flavour and seasoning was on pointe. The beef is one the best steaks I've ever had and I have eaten steak all around the world.... More

Dined here as a table of eight. As usual service and wine were superb but what let it down this time around was the food. Some of us ordered beef which all of us thought was quite tough. I had the barramundi which was quite small and absolutely swimming in butter without the burnt sage flavour. Had bread as part... More

Went here recently and was excited about the degustation as the menu itself sounded great. Let's start with the positive - the setting and service were fabulous - a great spot for dinner as the sun sets behind the mountains... With the food, the good dishes were very good (notably the charcuterie plate, the gnochi, dessert and pre-dessert were both... More

What an amazing dinner. Let's break it down to three categories.... Venue, service and food/wine. Venue Set on a beautiful vineyard with a gorgeous view of the sunset, Pipeclay Pumphouse is beautiful from the moment you arrive. It has some interesting/funky sculptures scatter around the property such as a metal kangaroo riding a motorcycle. It is a smallish restaurant seating... More

Revisited this week. Along with the award of a chefs hat has come a new style of menu - even better than before. Parties over 10 have a set menu ( choice of 3) ranging from $55-95 per head. We had the $75 option -way more food than we all could eat, but so irresistible that we couldn't stop. And... More

This new looking restaurant has a nice aspect looking over a small dam, onto the vineyards with the mountains beyond. The restaurant decor is rustic and very modern but the wooden floors make it rather noisy. Don't take your hard of hearing granny here. The service is good and friendly and they have a very tall waiter who rather reminded... More

The food is EXCELLENT and the views across the dam toward Mudgee are lovely. Terrific, personable service - everything on the ten-course degustation menu was generously explained and they dealt with our raucous party of ten with ease. Absolutely, thoroughly recommended.
