We entered a really nice restaurant. We sat down and got presented with a menu which for us was in English. So with a cold beer in one hand and a menu in the other it was time to see if the reviews were right. I would like to say we had a great lunch. The food was so fresh... More

It's a good idea to pay a visit and take at least a beer. You pay a bit more and get a lot of food for the cost of a "caña". All around this places it's a lovely environment and enough quite to middle aged people and even young people.

Dropped in last werk for some early evening tapas and was amazed by the standard and presentation of the food. Packed to the rafters with locals and with good reason. Fed and watered for under 6 euros with the most delicious iberian specialities. Absolutely wonderful. I will return.

I travelled the Andalusia & Castilla La Mancha region and also discovered Cuenca. We went there due to a recommendation from a local. It was truly truly authentic tapas! The place itself is small and cosy! Owner is super friendly and the tapas... Superb! I would definitely recommend this place.

We had dinner in this very nice and typical restaurant and we really enjoyed the atmosphere and kindness of the owner and staff. The meal was nicely cooked and the ingredients were of very good quality, as well as the wine. On top of this, we were explained a few interesting things about the origin of the recipes and this... Legendary tapas - you buy a small beer or wine and they give you the most extravagant tapas I have ever seen (and I have lived in Spain for ten years!) The official address is calle Fray Luis de Leon but all the locals know it as the calle del Agua, it's tucked away in a little street next to... More

We were told that this was the best bar in Cuenca. We were staying in upper town and this bar is in the lowere town so we were a bit reluctant to go down at night. However we finally did and wished we had done it sooner. The bar opens at 20.00 hrs and when we got there at 20.20... More

Lovely setting, nice food and service. Went there twice. We choose the 'tapa bebidas' formula. However on a warm day it can be extremely fuggy inside (there is no terras unfortutaley) so airco is recommended. Also there is a Spanish and English 'carta'. The second one clearly more expensive. Or did we/they miss something there?
