Are you late? In el Rancho they have the kitchen open until 2am. The staff is quite friendly, but I think the best thing of El Rancho is the relationship between food quality and value. You have a set of mediterranean dishes at a very good price. The place is also quite huge, so if you're a large party, it's... More

I'm not recommending this place, staff was terrible, food was cold, waiter was literally throwing food at our table. Then he made us wait 20 minutes to pay our bill.

I first went to this restaurant 37 years ago when my parents had a villa in the area. I saw it was still there so we went back and you can imagine my surprise when I discovered that it was still owned by the same family and the sons of the owners are now running it. The BBQ Grill Chef... More

A barbecue restaurant in a residential neighbourhood, we were the first diners on a Tuesday evening but the room soon filled up with locals. A pleasant welcome from a friendly waiter, service was brisk but the menu could do with a little more detail - I speak very good French and quite a bit of Spanish (no Catalan yet) but... More

Not sure what people see in this place, the food is average, the service is fine I suppose. We went twice during our stay as it was nearest to our apartment after long days travelling. The first time was ok, the second, on checking the bill we had been overcharged. We speak Spanish, I understand some Catalan, I like Iberian... More

Understand that this is not a restaurant intended for British tourists, in fact there aren't that many Brits in this part of Spain. Lots of locals come here, it's a grill place with a big menu of starters, grilled meat, a bit of fish, terrific aioli (sp?), and quirky cowboy themed decor, with the odd stuffed fox and old radios.... We had read the ratings and seemed pretty good and was not far to walk on our first night in Santa Margarida. The decor to the restaurant looked pretty good but unfotunately that was where it ended.I had a mixed grill with chips. The mixed grill was over cooked and extremely boring with the meat being tough the presentation was dismal. The seats... Plenty of seating inside or out, plus bar area. Menu is varied and interesting (hubby had pigs cheeks!!! Prices are reasonable, portions are plentyful and tasty. Do not expect 1st class service, it is more relaxed than that, but the staff are attentive enough. Good saturday night out. Happy to recommend.
