had lunch there last week. Ordered a fillet "medium rare", got it "well done". Friendly server replaced it without complaints. Second fillet arrived rare with cold center. Due to the good quality of the meat itself, I was able to eat it without having it replaced a second time. Mashed potatoes side dish was left from first serving. Staff friendly, but cook probably out of his depth. Coconut Smoothie was very good though.

Best meal we had!!

We took a chance as we walked passed and didn’t regret it. Lovely setting, beer was ice cold and food very special. I guessed that the bill would be around €75 but was actually €41 so I would’ve paid more it was that good. I had chicken pasta after spring rolls and my wife had chicken kebab after pate and a couple of drinks - shame that we only ate there once! On the edge of town but you must try it if close.

I recently dined at Abacus Restaurant and had a fantastic experience. The Asian Chicken was absolutely delicious seasoned and cooked to perfection. What made the visit even better was the incredibly friendly and attentive staff. Overall, a great dining experience that i would highly recommend!

Staff should be more friendly!!

Myself and my partner visited this restaurant when we were on holiday on Ayia Napa and we were shocked at the terrible from the waitress’ and waiters. The waiter that took our order was very pleasant however the other staff gave us the cold shoulder and they did not greet or even thank us as we left the restaurant. The staff need to work on their general friendliness and manners.

Penne al Salmone too sweet?

Well, on the menu penne al salmone says it will be served with white wine sauce, whereas it was served with ouzo??? As the waitress told me (whom I asked for the bill twice while she decided to slowly clean other tables instead)? Firstly, never asked for such change, nor informed. Secondly this was way too sweet to be edible... I didn't want to write any negative review, yet they cannot be reached via email to let them know. The info mail as they have it on their site and menu makes mails undeliverable. I still feel sick eating this, they could at least let people know should such changes occur in their menu... never even aproached us to ask how is the food anyway..

Staff are very arrogant, poor service.

Me and my partner visited this restaurant in July 2023, we was initially drawn in by its decadent interior and lively atmosphere. From the get go we noticed that the staff were very arrogant and had an unwelcoming persona. The waiter did not engage in conversation or provide drinks menus after being seated but was quick to judge when prompted for a drink we had not yet made a decision. Starters came out and were very tasty, no dramas there. For mains my partner ordered duck. The meal was served without the mash potatoes side, the waiter advised the mash would be out soon. 15 mins went by and there is still no sign of the mash. At this point I had finished my own main which has to be said was very nice. At this point we called the waiter over and asked where the mash was. He straight away got on the defensive and hit us with quotes like ‘we have been here for 40 years’ and ‘sometimes the kitchen makes mistakes, like yourself in your work’. We found this obnoxious but was unsurprising giving the arrogance of the staff from the get go. We would not advise anyone to visit this restaurant based on the service. There are many more local places like quadros who serve the same quality food at a better price with a lot better service. I’m sure if the staff at abacus knew we were residents on the island they would have upped their game. Would never go back purely because of the poor service.

The WORST RESTAURANT in Ayia Napa

It takes a lot for me to write a review and the fact that I am posting this speaks volumes. I just had lunch at this place, decided to try the Asian chicken dish. I have to say it was one of the worst experiences in my life when it comes to truly awful food. Whoever cooked it seemed to have decided to throw in a pile of salt on one of the vegetables that I was unfortunate enough to eat. There was only one other table other than mine but the two waiters were preoccupied with something else. I paid and got out of there. There are so many great places on that street and within a 5 minute walk. Don't be fooled by its décor. Avoid this place.

Unfortunately this place does not deliver. staff are ..polite but lack any kind of friendliness or engagement. starters were actually nice however we weren't even able to finish them before mains came out and so had to hold our plates so they could swap over. My friend ordered sizzling fajitas..no sizzle in sight ..bland like warm chicken and my God I tried her guacamole and its was like eating pureed pepper. She found it so awful she didn't even eat it. I had basic spaghetti ..presentation on all meals very good but poor in taste and quality. Pizza spicy, and not cooked properly. Such a shame would not recommend.

Nice Food and drinks!

We went there for a early dinner. I had cherry Daiquiri, which was lovely, for starters the arancini with pesto, taste good, but it was quite oily, but my main was a Fig Salad which was spectacular! My husband had king prawns for a starters was good, and for main pepper pork and was well cooked! We recommend 👍🏼

Abacus Restaurant and Lounge Bar offers a unique blend of Mediterranean flavors and a vibrant, relaxed atmosphere. I recently visited and had the pleasure of tasting their Mastic Prawns, which were truly a highlight. Another great feature of Abacus is their shisha. Not only is it affordable, but it also stands out for its rich, smooth flavor. The ambiance of Abacus is chic yet cozy, with a modern interior that’s perfect for both casual hangouts and special occasions. The staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring that our experience was enjoyable from start to finish. If you’re looking for a place with great food, and great atmosphere to enjoy your time with your friends Abacus is definitely worth a visit.

Good restaurant or bar, but staff hard to get attention.

Good menu choice and drinks but seemed to easily get forgotten about, with staff more attentive to local nationals. Big bar/searing area and good location just on the outskirts of Ayia Napa’s main road. Shame the staff were not more attentive otherwise a higher rating would have been given.

Terrible and arrogant staff and waiters. Avoid!!!

I visited Abbacus and only ordered drinks, but the waiter was rude, and the manager was equally unhelpful and rude. Terrible service. I won't be returning. Not recomend it!! All customers should be treated equally and sarcasm should not be used by the staff. Awful, and shame on them

Bad restaurant

Really bad restaurant. Staffs are slowly, we didn’t get a paper menu, just QR code. We wiated 20 minutes for meals. Penne a la salmone was really bad. With small 2-3cm salmon filet. And in menu is wrote “with parmezane”, but it was gouda or eidam. It wasn’t good meal. And staffs didn’t care, that I we were without drinks. Never more.

This place has wonderful and different choices of food dishes. Different to your normal menu choices and beautifully cooked. The staff are very good and the servings are very good size helpings, really worth a visit

Great restaurant!

Have visited the restaurant on the 21st of August for dessert and drinks together with my husband. Staff has been very friendly and polite. We had no reservation but we were seated by the staff, eventhough the place was literally packed. We have ordered vodka and ice cream. Have in mind that there is a small parking place behind the restaurant. Good job Abacus team!
