¨We are situated at the north entry of Ayia Napa in an old traditional house built in 1932 since 1976. The first taverna of Ayia Napa. Available inside and outside dinning and a smoking area. Beautiful fireplace for the colder days and vineyard outside. We serve really fresh fish and excellent traditional dishes from the family recepies. All our ingredients are daily fresh and we only use cypriot virgin oil. Homemade desserts and we serve the best paklava.

Nice traditional cypriot atosphere. Recommended for those who want something different than the hundreds of neon lighted, loud bars at Nissi avenue. This family owned place has a traditional taverna design and serves cypriot dishes on a decent level. If you are in Ayia Napa, it’s definetely worth to visit Napa Taverna for a dinner, as it will give you a little bit of break from the “resort feeling” and give you an insight to traditional cypriot dishes.

Can’t recommend this place enough, great atmosphere, everyone friendly, Mario was so helpful & accommodating - suggesting a fantastic Cypriot wine which I loved. The Meze was amazing & just when I thought I had no room left, I was surprised with beautiful home made desserts & the most delicious sweet wine to finish. Definitely visit this place - you won’t be disappointed. I’ll be back!

Myself, my adult daughter and 5year old grandson went to this charming taverna after it was recommended to us. We were not disappointed, it is a beautiful traditional old building, easy to find and with loads of character, it was a chilly evening and I am pleased to say it was lovely and warm with a real fire giving a lovely ambiance. The family that run it for the last 20 years we were told by them, could not have made us more welcome and were helpful with ordering, the meal was good value for money. We shared Dolmades to start and a Greek salad , which was served with warm bread, they were delicious, I had homemade Moussaka served with a side salad, the Moussaka had a rich meat sauce, with a light and fluffy topping and was really tasty, my daughter had the Kleftiko she said was beautifully tender the meat fell straight off the bone, served with potatoes and a few veg. The restaurant didn't do a childrens menu but told us they could do anything he wanted as a half portion, we ordered for our little boy homemade ravioli with bolognaise sauce, we both tried it and the pasta was lovely with some sort of cheese filling and the sauce on top, served with grated Parmesan. The adults were to full for desert but our little boy had the fresh strawberries and homemade cream, and jam syrup after and he loved it. We had a carafe of white wine which local and perfectly drinkable good value at €12. Overall we had a lovely evening in a totally charming Taverna and would highly recommend it. Our bill came to €58 for shared starter, salad, 2 mains, Childs portion main, 1 dessert, carafe of wine, bottle water, fresh orange juice.

Now we have been meaning to give Taverna Napa a try for many a year but something always got in the way. It was our Wedding Anniversary and so we decided that today was the day. Boy what we have been missing all this time. Our whole experience was excellent. The Building is full of character and ambience with the staff all friendly and ready to serve your every need. As the the food..........wow.......real authentic Cypriot dishes which are cooked to perfection and very filling. We sat to enjoy Kleftico and Moussaka with a shared freshly made Humus dip, all of which were melt in the mouth. Glass of Wine, a Leon and Bottle of Water helped the evening go to plan and so if you ever need a Taverna which will give you some Cypriot authenticity then look no further.

A very beautiful local tavern with local music. We had mezze with local specialities and you have to be prepared to eat a lot (as the waiter said, don't eat too much at the beginning otherwise you cannot finish the dinner). Excellent cuisine. My favorite dishes were grilled halloumi, lamb and the greek pasta. A place you should definitely not miss.

We went here last night and it wasn’t such a good experience unfortunately!
To start with prices outside when you look at the menu they are not up to date … around 4 -5 euros more per dish .,,
We had the meat meze which it wasn’t as expected… a few selections of meats… pork was very tough, very little lamb no lamb chops … a bit of sausage… , one kofta .,. Al in all not great .
Our son had fillet steak … which was a disaster… could not cut the meat it was tough as rubber after we order it medium done … put it that way it was not a fillet steak just a cheap piece of meat … they brought a new one … too late …
The family had fish meze it was ok … but after 2 hours … we all finished… they brought another fish dish …it’s a bit chaotic… waited half an hour for our bill…
All in all we will not return… we had high hopes but hopefully we will find a better one …

We visited Taverna Napa on the 4th October, having seen this charming family run Taverna on YouTube. Definitely not a tourist trap. What a great experience, such a fabulous atmosphere and rustic surroundings made this experience one never to be forgotten. Food was excellent, we opted for the Mezze which consisted of 17 traditional delicious dishes. We were recommended a fabulous Cypriot wine to accompany our meal. Great friendly, welcoming service, loved the complimentary liqueur after the meal, which is made on the premises and stored in large jars towards the back of the restaurant for 25 days using red wine and a aromatic plant!!
Thank you so much for making a holiday highlight, we will definitely re visit.

The portions are quite small for all of the meals as a table of 7 that we ordered. We asked what was on the meze for 2 of us to share and we didn’t receive the one dish we were both looking forward to which we were told was going to be served! . We had thought we found a gem with all of the positive reviews and indeed they are not wrong! The place is rammed! Mostly Greeks! Which is why we’re so confused about the food! It was average at best! We felt that the other customers were prioritised over us because we weren’t locals. We waited so long for the food. I had the feeling that the staff knew we didn’t like the food because we didn’t try the dips and I felt like I saw them talking about it. Staff were really nice, we feel sad we didn’t have the same experience as everyone else.

It was our Wedding Anniversary and we went to Napa Tavern for our celebratory Meal. Staff were friendly and efficient and good Covid measures were in place. Good Menu selections at reasonable prices. Our selections were finally decided upon and we enjoyed Mixed Grill served with Vegetables and Chips and a huge portion of Stifado served with Bulgar Wheat. Both very nice and very filling.

When we first entered the restaurant, the waiter came to us with open arms like he was waiting some old friends. The entire personnel was friendly and well prepared.
To food was good, the salads and the halloumi were excellent. I didn't particularly enjoy the mussels as they felt a bit old and dry, a sauce would have done wonders for them.
We also drank Ouzo for the first time in this place which was an interesting experience. Overall I rate the place 4 stars.

Had a great time in Cyprus and this place is a hidden gem. we was recommended this restaurant by a local couple as we sat drinking coffee and was not disappointed. Restaurant has a great atmosphere and friendly staff and just the place if you want to experience local Cypriot food
My wife and i had the lamb tavas and it was amazing...... Will definitely be there again next year

We were recommended this restaurant from Cyprians for a unique dining experience. Service was pretty bad, yes things came out quickly, but there was definitely a hierachy of management here, which was clearly visible, no smile, we felt rushed, and that to be honest we felt like they just wanted us in and out as quickly as possible. I had the grilled Sea Bream, it was ok, not bad not good, sides were pretty average. Our daughter had calamari again pretty average, my husband had the mixed grill which had a huge piece of pork on the plate that was pure fat. The entree of dips and pita was the best meal of the night. We wouldnt return.

We have been visiting Cyprus for many years more recently staying in Ayia Napa. We have never been to this taverna before and it was recommended by some local Cypriots. We are so pleased we visited, even though it was quiet with the current circumstances the reception was warm and friendly. We opted for the Fish Meze and a Cypriot Sauvignon Blanc and we were not disappointed. Both the meal and wine were excellent and fantastic value for money. Highly recommended and we will visit again.

We ate here during corona time on the 17th of july 2020. We ordered Special Cyprus Dishes Meze for 2 persons. The food was delicious. The 16 to 18 dishes include also the sauces which means that we expected a little more dishes. The ambiente is phenomenal, native and authentic. As dessert we ordered Lemon Sorbet! Super good too! Only little negative thing is that we waited too long after we ate to order dessert and after to get the bill. But would recommend 8/10.

We had dinner for two. The selection of starters was disappointing. The main course of lamb cutlets and a 'typical cyprian' lamb stew was OK but lacked taste. It generally lacked the quality and care we so much appreciate in Greek cuisine. Service was attentive at first but that slackened significantly as the restaurant became busier. We were especially put off by the behaviours of a number of tourist clients that we found quite impolite but the staff seemed to go along with it. Not a nice experience.
