The setting and layout of this restaurant is simply beautiful with a huge tree full of fairy lights the centre piece. The system put in place to ensure it was Covit safe is applaudable. Now to the important part of the review.... the food and...service. Staff were warm, welcoming and professional. I had calamari to start which was just lovely and my husband had the sausages which he had to leave some, this was because the portion size was so healthy we thought it was a main and he was nervous about not eating his main of rib eye steak which was a a delicious cut of meat and cooked to perfection. I had the rack of lamb and again it was generous and the chops were thick with plenty of very tender meat. Mains don’t come with any sides and these have to be paid for separately which is a slight irritation especially as this restaurant is at the top end for price. That said we don’t mind paying for quality and this was definitely quality. The chips were home cooked and the honey glazed carrots delicious. We shared a pudding of apple crumble with vanilla ice cream. The apple was a little too sweet and needed some tartness to offset the sweetness of the ice cream. We finished with coffees. We will definitely visit again before we go home and can’t recommend enough.More

What a brilliant meal! The steak was perfect and exactly what we asked for. The cocktails were so delicious and perfect for our evening with friends. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Portugal!

Had a lovely meal at this restaurant, the food was excellent although a bit expensive. It has a lovely setting. The staff were friendly and attentive. The staff wore masks and COVID rules adhered to.

Firstly, the location is well out of the way if you are considering coming here from the Porches area! Unfortunately our taxi driver failed to advise us of this and we paid more than the price of the meal in taxi fares! Secondly, there was...a very frosty reception when we arrived. Our waiter was not very nice, constantly calling my wife "gorgeous" which is incredibly sexist (although she said he was just camp). Service was quite formal and stuffy. The place was full of English people for some reason, felt as if I was in Essex or TOWIE. The actual location is beautiful and my wife's steak was cooked to perfection. The Mac n cheese truffle dish was outstanding. The mash and peas had a taste of England to it, which was strange being in Portugal (although the owner is apparently British). There is a beautiful parilla grill with wood fire burning in the background. Pity as my steak was bloody when I had asked for a medium cooked steak. It was still tasty though hence the four star review. The local Portuguese wines were excellent. So overall a bit hit and miss. You would expect a quality steak restaurant to not turn out bloody meat. The ambience and gardens are lovely but spoiled by stiff service. Lots of groups of friends enjoying themselves here, but for me Hawksmoor restaurants are far superior. The Portuguese are paranoid about wearing face masks which serves to dampen the atmosphere somewhat.More

We have just returned from Quinta Do Lago and we had a wonderful meal at Parrilla Natural. The setting is fantastic, and we had a very enjoyable meal. We started off with some great cocktails from the well stocked bar, and then we had a...great seafood starter. However the best part of the meal was the excellent steak that I had with some fantastic winesMore

We had been let down by two other restaurants and turned up with no reservation. Maria went out of her way to find us a table. We were so blown away, stunning atmosphere and beautiful tables. We had the black pig starter and beef tartare,...both excellent. We had two fillets for main and several sides, again both flawless. Sara was our waitress, she recommended wine, and found me a beautiful grapefruit gin. The wine was brilliant. Her service was 5 star, and I cannot recommend her highly enough. It was one of the highlights of our week long trip. The walk out through the garden was like something from a fairytale. Breath taking experience from start to finish. Thank you so much to the people who made it happen. We will 100% be back.More

Well what another fantastic meal !! We were joined by friends over from the UK and we wanted to take them to what we believe is one of the best restaurants in the Algarve. Our friends were NOT disappointed... we had a FANTASTIC time. Amazing...food, very good staff and all in a beautiful setting !! The steaks here are some of the best I’ve ever had and the mixed grill was a winner for our table as nobody could decide on what steaks they wanted !! What else could we ask for... nothing !! This place ticks all the boxes for a meal with friends as we just experienced but also great with family and also perfect for date night !!More

We were so happy to get to the Algarve this summer, where we found every restaurant In the area, without exception, offering the best protection for their clients with hand gel and strict face mask policy. The safest I have felt anywhere since the covid...outbreak. The charming Parrilla guys, all in masks for the whole service in 30 degree heat, still managing to engage fully with customers throughout. Great job! We went twice in our stay, service is amazing. This was a new restaurant for us as a family and we loved the garden ambience, with the twinkly tree and big tables set in different levels, well spaced apart. We were looking to try some different food - attracted by the South American twist, and all was great - especially the starters .. great deal. One of our steaks came well presented and cooked as instructed but wasn’t the most flavoursome, which is a bit disappointing for a steak restaurant... but the lamb was to die for (huge portion) and there is a spicy beef salad that is fabulous. Kids loved their food . Cocktails are great and desserts were delicious. Look forward to going back next time we’re in the area.More

As per the previous review we were very much looking forward to our evening at Parilla Natural. However, we were clearly invisible to staff on arrival and the front of house was actually quite rude. When guiding us to the bar for pre dinner drinks...she walked ahead with her arm around her male colleague without speaking a word to us. The cocktails were good and the place is actually quite stunning. We were shown to our table which was a low cafe style and not entirely comfortable to eat at. We ordered some starters - the empanadas were excellent but the prawn tempura was not crispy. The steaks were good but the accompaniments ‘over dressed’ with too much honey/garlic/salt. We decided not to have a pudding or coffee as we were absolutely freezing cold by this stage with no offer of a heater. The overall experience was disappointing.More
