This is so special and is not to be missed. Intimate diners and large groups alike will find it an amazing venue with prompt service, a fantastic selection of local wines and the most incredibly flavorful food! The Fish/shrimp Mocqueca is one of the best I've had in the world!! Also at my table were delicious and tender veal, juicy... More

Like in the last 15+ years we've gone back to Malveiro. Once again we were greeted by the owner, Lionel, had great service with the super tasty food we've always enjoyed. The special shrimp curry is excellent, the muqueca of Monkfish was pretty tasty, the goat stew perfect and the beef stew as good as ever.

This is a gem. The food is delicious, very very well priced and the wine recommended was just right! The staff are superb. I cannot fault one thing and we really did have the best evening

One of the best restaurants on the Algarve. Wonderful ambience, colonial, Mozambique. Beautiful food, good choice. Lionel and his staff are second to none. Must book not to be disappointed. We return regularly, can't resist it!

We have been visiting the Algarve for 20 years , and found Malveiro about 5 years ago . For us it's now a must visit , and all because the Standards set by Leonel are so high , and have never waivered. He is a hardworking front of house man , who deserves the success and reputation he has achieved... More

A little off the beaten path but well worth the effort to find. A relatively small selection of dishes on the menu but don't let that fool you - the quality is superb. The Mozambique 'Prawn' starter was excellent as was the Clay Shingle Kid. The only disappointment was the fact that I was too full to attempt one of... More

Restaurante Malveiro just outside Almancil is well worth a visit. I went with three other golfers with whom I was holidaying in the area. Leonel the host is incredibly genial, and all his staff are friendly and helpful. The food is great – I had the restaurant’s signature dish of goat in a terracotta casserole which was fantastic. We were... More

We go to Malveros every time we visit the algarve and it is always amazing. The food, relaxed atmosphere and mix of Portuguese and Mozambique food is a welcome respite from Piti Piti chicken ( which I absolutely adore too ) We usually go there with adults, as it has a relaxed ambience with lots of chatter, but this year... As the owner Leonel says: "If I do not have a view to offer, I need to have very good food and service" for customers to come. And clearly true. In Malveiro you get fantastic food, wine and a welcoming service, not always was to find. Please come to Malveiro to taste and feel the best Algarve has to offer... More

Found it by accident. The food was superb and the price was good too. Could not have a more welcoming and kind staff. The fig ice cream and fig tart were to die for. Would love to eat here again
