Brilliant food, felt very traditional and the hospitality was perfect. Visited Berlin twice now and been here on three occasions! I can’t replicate the standard at home.

I had a potato stuffed with bacon and vegetables. It was pretty good. This restaurant is one the most famous of the area. The service is very good and the ambiance is fantastic.
Good location close to the Radison hotel and the Schloss park. Outside and inside tables. Tasty food.
Very German kitchen - lot of fats, potatoes and beer. Good quality for decent prices. Excellent location.
Staying at local Radisson we did not want to eat in hotel. This restaurant was close by. Less than five minutes walk. Food selection was good and prices very reasonable. What made the difference was the service and the friendliness of the staff. Very helpful...and did not rush you. Not gourmet food but an enjoyable eveningMore
The place is really original, with a classic decoration from the early 1900's and cozy spaces even for a fairly group. Beer selection is awesome, the fries were delicious and the service was good!
A large group of colleagues coming together for an international meeting ate here tonight. We were given a warm welcome and everyone seemed to enjoy their food. I had the perch with fried potatoes & salad- it was very tasty. I would definitely eat here...again.More
A little house inside the restaurant reminds me of some pizzeria Napoli around Italy, with the same idea. Potatoes, potatoes of course. Looks like a tipical local atmosphere. They serve a good local white wine. Prices on the range. I had a fish, but coming...from Italy I cannot say anything. Can't compare Meditarranean sea fish with german lake fish! I will come here again!More
Stayed in Merseburg for 4 days and one of our nights we had dinner here. Everyone was happy with the choices offered and that the food was tasty and reasonably priced.
I have been to the restaurant twice. On the first occasion there were ca 10 people of which one was fluent in German and for the rest it varied between no fluency to rudimentary. We felt the waitress to be rather unaccommodating in finding a...big enough table. I ordered the so called "Organ Feast according to JS Bach" but on the second occasion ordered the "Pan 'Gamekeeper' " which looked remarkably similar to the dish of the first night. On the second night the group was smaller with nobody fully fluent in German but the waitress made it a pleasant experience. The restaurant was conveniently located from the hotel.More
This Kartofelhaus Restaurant is not good enough. The service is warm but not good. The quality is Poor and full of oil.
