We prebooked a table for an evening anniversary meal but on arrival found the restaurant area with the views over Lech were only for the use of residents. As a result we ended up in a completely separate back area which was pleasant but slightly soulless and could have been anywhere,i.e. not in Oberlech looking down along the valley at the town. The meal and service were good but as we got to our desert the main dining area started to empty as the place was cleared so the staff could set up for breakfast. The residents then appeared on the free tables in the area we were eating using it as a lounge drinking coffee and playing games. Thus any residual ambience was finally destroyed. Thoroughly disappointing conclusion. My advice is go for lunch on the terrace or accept you are just having a good meal sans view in the evening. The restaurant's website is dishonest as it majors on a view you are unlikely to be able to benefit from.

Nice enough restaurant but strange service not really catering for visitors from outside the hotel. At around 9.45pm we were asked to talk more quietly as the residents were sleeping…Food mostly good, nice fish, avoid the cordon blue schnitzel as dry.

Very cute spot, spent a week in the hotel and the restaurant was always great. Easily accessible by bus and the views of the mountain are fantastic.

For a ski lunch break or for a longer stay, excellent location: incredible panoramic view on the Arlberg valley, very good food with excellent value for money.

Visited here twice for lunch in the week. Served quickly and service with a smile.
Lovely views over looking the pistes and restaurant was cosy and a great place to socialise.
Portions were large, so skiing after lunch was quite slow!

This restaurant was recommended by our chalet and was a great choice with a menu featuring a variety of dishes, many traditional. The steak tartare we shared first up was lovely with the bonus of a small shot of a spicy Bloody Mary. My fillet steak was done to my liking and hubby enjoyed his traditional pork fillet dish. A nice bottle of local wine and friendly service topped off the evening.
The restaurant is midway up the mountain and can be reached by local bus with a 10 walk back down after dinner along a lit hiking path, admiring the lights of Lech below.
Would we return? Yes but not before being tempted by some of the other local options.

When we went for dinner the hotel and restaurant were almost full. We were attended to quickly, with drinks and menus. However, the food took far too long to arrive. The wine was finished by the time the main course arrived, one and half hours after our arrival. The waiter explained that the kitchen was struggling as the restaurant was full. Well!!! What do they want??? Very disappointing. However, the view over the village of Lech with all the lights on at night is enchanting.

Our ski group went especially for the Kaiserschmarin--it didn't seem that great to me when I tasted a bit. I tried the Goulash soup--it was watery & rather tasteless. We were crammed in & service was just average.
