Absolutely beautiful restaurant - food, service, fabulous views. We chose to eat at lunch to get the full Noosa water views, and the $80 3 Course option. All meals were well thought out, amazing in taste, and gorgeously presented. Well worth a visit.

We booked into Wasabi after seeing its good reviews and because we love Japanese cuisine. Our waiter was helpful and we did the 3 courses for $80 each. The food was good, well seasoned and nicely served with tradition pauses in between. We go t talking with the couple next to us, who were extremely pleased with their selections. We... More

My husband and I spent a delightful three hours savouring every morsel. While the expertly prepared food was obviously our main focus, it was easy to be distracted by the thoroughly enjoyable river side location on a spectacular Noosa day. Thanks Wasabi and thank you Noosa!

Wasabi is good. Really good. But it lacks 'something' to make it great. The staff were knowledgable, skilful and efficient but they lacked warmth. The food was delicious and cleverly crafted but nothing made us go 'wow!' Which is unfortunate because we really wanted to love this place and we do love it, but not with a capital L. Still... More

We went to Wasabi for a celebration. There were 3 of us- my partner and my 12 year old daughter. Our favourite food is Japanese and we had been meaning to try Wasabi for a while. We knew we would have to save our pennies as everything on the menu is quite pricy- starting at $80 per head. The food... More

Wasabi is very good. Excellent service, fabulous produce, gorgeous setting. This was our second visit and it didn't, however, win me over as strongly as my first visit. It may have been that we had a friend with us so we were less focused on the food than last time. We also only had the 3 courses on this visit... More

It didn't take us long to figure out that the chef's choice/degustation menu was the best way to experience what this restaurant had to offer. There were no issues accommodating my husband (meat eater) and me (not). The food was fresh and tasty and given a modern twist. Two of the seven dishes were so-so (the prawn sushi and the... More

This dining experience left us with a feeling of disappointment. The meal was ok but we were misled by the Waiter when it came to the cost of the meals. If we didn't have an entree the main meal would of left you hungry as the portions were very small. We were charged for the water which is usually complementary... More

Make an early booking as the sunset and the water make for a wonderful atmosphere. The service here is second to none. Only outdone by the remarkable food itself. Fine dining at it's best. A wonderful tour of amazing flavours. The cocktails are a must try with Japanese flavours.

Booked mid week so crowd was not a problem. I thought the menu was a bit limited yet everything we ordered could not be faulted. Overall, though a "hat" restaurant, I thought Wasabi was a little pretentious and lacked Japanese atmosphere. Service was very good - prompt and personal.

Description
Wasabi restaurant & bar, overhanging the scenic Noosa River, opposite the Noosa Recreation Reserve, is the brainchild of owner and Young Restaurateur of the Year Award recipient Danielle Gjestland. The entirely waterfront dining space has spectacular river views with amazing sunset vistas by day and a warm, contemporary, intimate dining space by night. Voted Queensland's #1 regional restaurant for the 2015 Good Food Guide, awarded two chefs hats, listed in Gourmet Travellers top 100 restaurants, and voted Queensland's Hottest Restaurant in the Australians Hot 50 List, Wasabi's food has a contemporary sensibility that is still deep rooted in Japanese purity.
