Headed in just after 8pm in Tuesday evening and although they were starting to tidy for closing, the Chef kindly agreed to do my dinner. Thoroughly enjoyed the Moreton Bay Bugs with garlic butter (entree size) and sticky date pudding. Very generous portions, beautiful flavour! Would recommend and would go again.

We were fortunate enough to have the last available table as we had not booked in advance. The service was welcoming and engaging. We sat inside and it was warm and cosy on a cool winter night. The menu had enough variety to meet our needs. The chowder was very tasty and the Moreton bay bugs were awesome.

We really enjoyed our meal at La Vida, so much so we went back again! The serving team were very friendly, also very alert and very aware to our group's allergy needs - double checking our requirements. Lovely food, including an enormous platter, lovely atmosphere in the evening eating outside. Thanks La Vida!

The food was great, particularly the Morton Bay Bugs with the Asian sauce. My daughter and I shared an entrée and still managed to eat plenty. A little pricey, but well done. Did not like the plastic tent that we sat in it. The restaurant was small so this tent added to its size and was heated (which was nice),... More

The helpful and enthusiastic waiter encouraged us to try the oysters for entree - fresh every day. a great start to teh meal. We then enjoyed barramundi with king prawns and lime aioli. No need to order sides! Beans, rocket, potato and baby beets included. lovely informed service and good value.

I can't say anything bad about this restaurant. We had oysters for entree. Fabulous! Then I had gluten free pasta with prawns - wow! The best I've ever had! The rest of our group had the chowder which smelled beautiful and the calamari. The serving staff were all lovely. We had to wait a little while but not enough to... More

Had lunch here.. The meals are very generous.. We did have to wait what seemed a considerable time but there was only one waitress and it seemed only one person in the kitchen.. Nevertheless our meals were worth the wait. The waitress was very friendly and didn't show any sign of being flustered!

WOW very impressive. One of the nicest dinners we've had, accompanied by great friendly service. Bugs and brains for entrees, absolutely amazing. That is the garlic moreton bay bugs and lamb brains. Sweet potato & pumpkin gnocchi which was baked and so rich and tasty. The prawn spaghetti was great too, so many fresh prawns. For dessert we had the... More

Went to Vida for small birthday dinner and could not fault the quality of the food, staff or ambience. With a well balanced menu and wine list there is something for everyone with an emphasis on fresh local seafood. The chef and owner Gavin obviously loves what he's doing and the thoroughly professional staff made us feel very welcome. Warning... More
