I had heard a lot of good things about this place and so booked a table for dinner. Service was pretty mixed based on the fact we had about 3 people looking after our table. Some good, and one who is a little confused about what customer service actually is... After initially looking at the menu online and salivating, I... More

We had been to a movie next door and popped in after. The food was hearty as the name suggests. We had vodka based cocktails which were generous, waitress was very helpful with menu suggestions and was friendly and so funny. We had a great time. Recommend it for romantic times too.

We were given the perfect spot to dine (family of 5) waitresses were wonderful, service was prompt and the food was traditionally Polish, (as we hoped it would be!:) Staff went out of their way to accommodate requests made. Everything ordered was delicious! Thankyou for looking after us 😀😀

The worst customer service seen in years. The rudest, most ignorant staff members. Shocking attitude. Accused of using drugs which was totally ludicrous, told to be called security on for using bathroom and not ordering drinks even tho we did - and weren't able to have them (!!!!) as they didn't have a free table and everyone had to be... I have been here many times for food & drink. I'm never disappointed! Amazing service, lots of smiles and friendly banter from the staff. It is obviously a vodka bar so expect a seriously extensive list to whet your appetite before moving on to some grub. I'm no longer a drinker of alcohol but the staff never fail to whip... More

This place is small and intimate, but good for a quick drink whilst keeping warm and bar hopping down Chapel street. We popped in and had some form of Absinth and coffee drink, which was actually quite nice! A night cap you might call it. The staff are helpful and friendly, and run off there feet, but its all happening... More

Food was fantastic as usual. Definitely need to book table especially for the weekend. Staff very friendly, selection of vodkas unbelievable. White barszcz -żurek was great and schabowy just like my mum used to make. Russian salad is a must, as well as pierogi. Love coming back every time we are in Melbourne.

Went there for a Sunday warm up drink & decided the menu was worth sampling. Felt like traditional Jewish cooking, I was impressed. After all these years, they are still doing something really really right! And it's not just at the bar !
