Attended a family function here last week and found it to be a disappointing experience. Food was served raw, and nothing done to replace it. Everything was overseasoned and a lot of it way too spicy for the kids to eat, despite kids being charged full price). It was pretty badly organised and wasn't a function that ran very smoothly.... Went as a group of 4 for a catch-up dinner. We shared a couple of mixed entrees and shared 4 dishes plus rice. I've been once before, ages ago, and fondly remembered the goat curry and again it didn't disappoint. Can also recommend the calamari (which I wouldn't have looked at if one of our group didn't want it) and... More

Visited her with a work colleague and walked in without a reservation. The restaurant is located in Chappel street in trendy Prahan and is an easy walk to St Kilda Road. The staff were friendly and obliging. The decor has great Nepalese/Himalayan feel which includes the option to sit on cushions on the floor and low tables. The food is typical... More

This is my 5-6 visit to this restaurant but my 1st review. I have always found the food really good especially the chilli chicken and shared entree. We always get the seated area at the front, on the floor so the kids can roll around or move around. The restaurant decor is good and the waitresses are helpful.

First time trying this place recently with a few friends. We ordered the banquet menu as we thought it would be a good way to sample Nepalese food. The service was slow. There were only 2 other tables occupied. Definitely service level can be improved. The food was a saviour...otherwise it is not a worthwhile place to dine. It was... More

My first time to this restaurant & I was impressed. Even though they were very busy the service was excellent. We had a choice of an internal tables or the outside dining in Chapel Street. We chose the outside option so we could enjoy the barmy summer even & observe the passing parade of like mined people. Our choice of... More

Firstly, if you are disabled, there are two deep steps at the entrance. No disabled loo. Nice, warm atmosphere with black and white tiled floor and interesting vaulted ceiling. I had the mixed entree platter and at $17.90 it was great value. I wasn't feeling very adventurous this particular night so I had char grilled lamb cutlets with fragrant rice... More

I have been eating Nepalese food for about 15 years now - it seems to be treated like a poor second cousin to Indian food but I love it. Tasty, spicy but not overly so. Big variety on the menu, from stir fry type dishes to curries and plenty of vegetarian options. The owner seems a little stressed sometimes, unfortunately... More
