I'm not one to write reviews unless a night was worth more than the money I paid which my recent trip to Mt Erica was! Fantastic wine recommendations and spectacular food. All delivered by what seemed like a never ending procession of Scottish hunks! I'll be back!

After my 6th dining experience under the new regime, I am so happy to have this as my local. No longer a Parma & steak joint, I hope people embrace the refined yet hearty cooking that goes on here. Tonight we started with the yummy mushroom croquettes & eggplant chips with honey, and of the mains, I can't decide which... More

Tapas is not my style but as a group we went there and where schocked at the prices of both food and wines. At the end of the day $160 for a lunch for 2 was extreme. Food was nice but no wonder the place was dead.

After returning to this hotel after many months we discovered that it had completely changed. Not for the better. The menu has been changed to share plates and tapas from regular pub food. The quality of the food was OK. The main disappointment was the drinks. The cheapest bottle of wine red or white was $55. This is not a... More

Excellent atmosphere, service and selection of drinks available. Menu looked very good but time did not permit a sample. Value for money. Staff were very friendly.

We went there for lunch and were advised that the meals were a "Big Size". When the lamb for $22 came out I just stared at this blob of meat on the mashed potato. I thought I was in a Russian Prison Camp. The other meal was Beef and it had a more sinister appearance. The meat was heavily glazed... More

Went to mt Erica's restaurant last night (now called austins) and was pleasantly surprised to find they've completely changed management and the whole vibe. Went for a few drinks ended up trying some of their share plates, which were insane - in particular loved the scallops and cuttlefish. Also had some incredible Spanish wine there and definitely need to go... More

Mt Erica has undergone a major overhaul in the last month. Once a bustling bistro Mt Erica is now a small tapas, share plate intimate area with a very wide selection of wines almost wine bar standard! The balance of the space now has leather couches surrounding a fire with a large tv suitable for watching sports on Saturday afternoon.... More

Had dinner at the Mt Erica last night, I've been going to the pub for years and love the new direction it's heading in. Dinner was amazing if you like high quality food this is your place! We chose to let the chef choose our tapas for the night and it was a great dinning experience, everything was yummy. The... More

Stay away! Rude surly waiters, ridiculously small and overpriced meals, this place used to be good. Now trading as Austins but signs still say Mt Erica. Plenty of wiser choices within walking distance.
