I went here for dinner. Beautiful wine and beautiful food. Night time dining, Solitary turns into a warm, cosy atmospheric, romantic venue for dinner and during the day a more relaxed place for lunch or morning tea. And don't forget VIEWS FOREVER! On a clear day, you can see to Bowral!

Solitary has a stand out location on the Cliff Drive between Leura and Katoomba The views over the Jamieson Valley are wonderful. My family of 5 enjoyed morning tea there. A number of us had the Devonshire tea and a couple of our girls had drinks with cake. The Devonshire tea was excellent. Two large steaming scones accompanied by lovely... More

My partner and I had a beautiful lunch at Solitary on a very cold and windy Blue Mountains day. We were surprised by the quality of the food - he had a chicken, mushroom and speck pie and I had a twice-baked goat cheese soufflé with escargot. Both meals were so lovely we decided to share a desert (steamed almond... More

The fillet steak that we had here at the Solitary with the side of bone marrow was the most amazing sensation that has hit our taste buds for a long long time. A hugely enjoyable dinner.

Went recently with friends for a relaxing Saturday lunch. We were looking forward to a catch up and a pleasant lunch in this well regarded restaurant, but left feeling it hadn't reached its usual heights. It was a freezing day so a warm fire was a welcome sight, unfortunately it smoked constantly, stinging our eyes and left our clothes smelling... More

Had a great meal here yesterday for lunch with two other couples. I don't think any of us were disappointed as it was so good. The only complaint would be from my husband who ordered the beef cheek for entree and the kitchen had forgotten to heat one piece of the beef. The flavour of the meal he said however... More

We took my wife here for her birthday dinner with the kids. The food, location and service were all we expected. They made a special occasion a very special night, the calamari was tender and served with a great combination of Asian style noodles. The gnocchi, pork, eye fillet and chicken were all delicious. Highly recommended for dinner, although you... More

A Devonshire Tea was what we were looking for on a cold blustery day and Solitary provided it along with fantastic views over the Jamison Valley. The scones were light and fluffy and appeared to be just out of the oven and the home made strawberry jam went very well with them. My Earl Grey tea was perfect although my... More
