Had the 8 course degustation. Food was absolutely beautiful but at $200 pp with matching wines it comes at a price. Beautiful old house dating back to the 1880's . Lovely ambiance and friendly staff. A great place to celebrate that special occassion

Always love the French Dining experience - have been to The Rooster 3 times now. It has never failed to meet every expectation. The setting is like stepping back in time to 'old France'. The food is always exceptional.

Amazing food! Wonderful wine! Beautiful atmosphere! Top service! I just wish you had some vegetarian options or more seafood options, as I don't eat any other meat, but the cod was amazing and my partner had the duck and loved that. Will be back next time I feel like that cod or if you update your menu.

Having eaten in France on many occasions we loved The Rooster. The food felt authentic and was absolutely delicious. It was my boyfriends birthday and we signed up to the birthday club which meant that we got a free bottle of wine with our meal (you just sign up on their website). The service was great, the staff were very... More

Not a lot on offer for vegetarians or vegans but they did do a vegetarian entre` that they made into a main course which was very nice of them.

Lovely atmosphere with live violinist playing as we walked in who was very friendly. Wife had onion soup and believed it to be as good if not better than any other she had tried and scallops for me were excellent. Moved onto lamb cutlets and duck confit which were cooked to perfection and tasted divine. Open fire place was very... More

Celebrated our anniversary staying at Jamieson guesthouse with dinner at The Rooster. Having booked the restaurant for convenience we were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful food, great service and overall ambience. Nice to have somebody playing the piano while we ate. Lucky for us such a lovely restaurant was part of our accomodation. Very memorable and we will be back.

Our first time to this recommended restaurant. We were not disappointed.Delicious meals served by pleasant staff. The restaurant is an old house well maintained in original condition. In the adjacent room was a pianist playing the piano quietly with a small group of enthusiasts, requesting their old favorite tunes. The whole evening was just very pleasant
