Such a terrible experience the staff were not pleasant at all I know it was only an hour or so before closing time, but hey it is a business in a tourist area and one would expect better. Our sandwich had a chicken bone in it of reasonable size (fortunately found before consuming) the chicken looked like it was scrapped... More

This place has a really chilled vibe with the most incredible coffee! You can definitely tell they take great care in the quality and flavour of their coffee. We often would grab a coffee there even if we were eating elsewhere. They also do a brewed chai with fresh ginger, slightly more of a ginger flavour than most chai but... More

I had a coffee and chorizo/bean breakfast as per the current profile photo which were both fine... it's a small interior and fills up quickly on a wet/cold day, which often happens and can only do if regulars frequent. One was there during my visit and chatting away but staff had time for that, which is a nice sign

If you're looking for that local, slightly grungy, bo-ho, hippie mountains vibe, then this is the coffee for you. Generally great coffee, but service wise sometimes feels as though the staff would prefer to talk amongst themselves, than engage with their customers, even whilst they're serving them.

A very unassuming cosy cafe. Incredible coffee, delicious speciality breakfast and well priced. Refreshing value for money.

This cafe is really welcoming with a lot of any sort of books keft by travellers. I have not had any food but I could notice that it was cheaper than average and it looked good. The coffee my partner and I had was really yummy and the staff lovely.

Mmmm milk. Cappuccino tasted like warm milk. Average is a compliment im afraid. Small and quaint. Had great potential but just didn't deliver. And yeah, the staff? Average too. Lazy presentation.

Hi There, I heard Elephant Bean had good coffee. So, about a month ago, I ventured in to give it a try. The set up is nice with decent finger food on offer plenty of coffee options and even the hip book "swap" shelf in plain view. The coffee was most certainly good but the service was horrid. My turn... More

We discovered this cafe after being referred by a local and decided to give it a go. We were wonderfully surprised. I ordered a hot chocolate and it was the perfect temperature and sweetness. The sourdough toast with local jams was perfect for a light breakfast and the customer service was great.

We ordered two hot chocolates and got them very quickly and got a chocolate stick on the side which was a nice extra. Not the most cosy of places so wouldn't want to stay here for a huge amount of time, but nice place at good value to get a hot drink if you are passing through Katoomba.

Thank Billie P

In Aug 2011 had a hard time finding anyplace in Katoomba (Blue Mountains) open early for breakfast, excellent coffee/food and great source of local info.
