Arrived mildly hungry but quickly became very hungry after I sat down. The look and smell of the food coming from the kitchen easily tempted me to eat NOW! After having my first glass of amazing, local white wine, I ordered the Zwiebelrostbraten {Full disclosure...here - I worked 3 years in an Austrian Kitchen in Stowe, VT before heading off to University} That was the absolute finest tasting Zwiebelrostbraten I have personally eaten in 20+ years. My friends all enjoyed their food immensely as well. The risotto was perfection but truthfully - I did not want to share and was happy that one other friend followed my lead - and he ordered his own Zwiebelrostbraten. Off the main path you say? No. This is the exact road that I travel and wish to find always. Enjoy! And, your welcome. It's awesome!More

All good nothing to complain on the food , but all other than food had been better in the past. Staff needs to be more organized than now. Forgetting things etc. when reorder it gets delivered. Food is good!!

We visited Gasthause on our way back from Italy. Frankly speaking they served best Wiener Schnitzel I have ever eaten. Tomato cream with mushrooms was fabulous. Kids enjoyed their soups and turkey. I highly recommend as one of the best place to eat in this...part of Austria.More

Had 14 dishes ordered, done in a very decent time, even the restaurant had been full. Great portions and tasty too. Recommended to have a stop there.
