Visited with my friend who had been before and recommended it, I wasn't disappointed! Situated in the lovely village of Felton, it's a quaint little cafe where we had afternoon tea like none I've ever had before. Instead of small sandwiches and cakes you get one big of everything...a sandwich, quiche or pie, scone and cake! And unlimited tea or... More

Me and my fiance went for afternoon tea on a Friday and booking is a must. Staff were friendly and always near to help. The afternoon tea was massive and delicious. You get loads I had to take half my slice of cake home. You get endless tea or coffee. We will definitely will be returning. This place is a... More

We visited the Running Fox after seeing an article in the Waitrose summer magazine. We drove an hour out of our way to visit, and were not disappointed. I would go as far as to say that next time we visit Northumberland, we will stay closer to Felton so that we can go again (and again). We arrived right at... More

Chosen by our friends we were intrigued by Artisan Bakery with restaurant. Though there are 2 levels it is advisable to book even on a weekday. Portion sizes are amazing, even the member of the party with the large appetite didn't quite get through the beef sandwich chosen. We both chose goat's cheese with beetroot and apple chutney, took some... More

I am already a huge fan of this place - lovely, home-made food. However, I hadn't realised that they provide a tasty cooked breakfast at a mega reasonable price. As my appetite isn't huge, I found that the Fox Cub English Breakfast, was more than enough at the amazing price of £5. The variety was amazing with not only the... More

Went as an anniversary treat for my wife and not really my type of thing but...Was told that the portions were big but didn't really believe it. I'm not known for taking cakes home because I'm too full but there's always a first time! The sandwiches were very tasty, I have never had a steak and ale pie that good... More

Had a wonderful meal - late lunch - wish we hadn't been asked to leave at 3.30 - there were other tables free - took the gloss off a wonderful place - don't rush loyal customers would be my advice - the food is fab and the tray bakes the best for miles - always take home bread and cake!!!

I had the beef n Stilton sandwich which was really good ans their pies are great. The cakes are good though i have had better. Staff was courteous at all times. enjoyed the pie so much i got...
