We booked our tour to this farm turned restaurant through Greyline tours and were picked up on time and dropped off at this charming farm house turned into restaurant in the countryside of Prague, but really just about 30 minutes from the city. Our favorite...part were the dances and the musicians. The food was plentiful and good, but they kept messing up my husband's vegetarian options, probably a language thing, but nevertheless, they were very accommodating and the waiter was genuinely sorry to have brought the wrong dish. You can have as much beer & wine as you want, and I am telling you, those portions were huge!!
After the dinner show we walked around while we waited for our transport back to the city and we were delighted by the facilities. The owner is a very friendly guy and he showed us photos of how the building was right after the Velvet revolution, it was a family property and he remodeled it and turned it into a restaurant. But inside the dining room you can still see the original structure that was a barn. It all made it very charming, and even though the food was not a highlight of this trip, the atmosphere of the place, the wonderful dancers and musicians, and the very friendly and attentive service made it a whorthwhile experience.
The village of Stredokluky where Stary Vrch is located seemed so charming that if we go back to Prague, I think that we will try to stay there for a couple of days to enjoy the Czech countryside.More
