Amazing setting, rustic atmosphere kitchen seating is amongst the vines, looking out over the ocean. We enjoyed a glass of wine and a pizza - the woodfired pizza was delicious. Staff very friendly would recommend to anyone visiting the area.

We visited out of season so this is a review of the wine tasting experience, not the food. The location is idyllic, facing north with a beautiful view over the grapevines to the water and islands beyond. The winemaker Bruce is a chatty and informative host and we bonded with the winery dog Molly. There is a sensible system of... More

We were lucky enough to be the only 2 people there so got a private tasting from the viticulturist himself! He took the time out from tending the vines and training his apprentice to give us a tasting of their selection of wines and give us some info about the history of the property. The wines were lovely and we... More

Living in Russell, we thought we'd try Omata (this was a long time ago now) and haven't stopped going back!! During summer you can get the most delicious platters, and now with the evenings closing in a bit faster, their brand new wood-fired pizzas are amazing. The wines are great, especially the Pinot Gris which ranks right up there with... More

Having seen several Facebook local reviews we thought it time we gave it a try and are glad we did. Not a great range to choose from but our thin based meat lovers and marguerites were delicious. Vineyard tasting glasses lead us to order a bottle of the Pinot Gris. We would have chosen their delicious Rose but " sorry... More

Omata Estate well worth a visit. A nice selection of locally grown & produced wine. On Sunday's they serve home made wood fired pizza which looked very nice.

The last time I visited here was over 7 years ago. It was good then but was even better than I remembered it. The view is stunning and the wine is excellent and reasonably priced. We shared the tasting plate and a bottle of wine and it would be fair to say we were in no hurry to leave. Nor... More
